Some perspective, we have an ordinary team who has given all the top sides a real good scare.

We over achieved to be anywhere near Melbourne. Well done lads.

very true, still hard not to be pissed off losing al these close games

We gave up an 18 nil lead, with 20 minutes to and you're praising them... not blaming any individuals but for the third week in a row we've lost a match we should have won and you're saying well done. That's just accepting mediocrity.

I'm thinking most people before the game would not have predicted Parra to lose by more than 4. It just sucks when it's 22 unanswered points.

Ben Smith did nothing imo, that was purely a square up, Melbourne do much worse in tackles and barely get penalised!

No doubt a square up. We were leading the penalty count 6-0 in the second half; there was about 6 mins to go and refs don't like to give penalties in the last 5.

He will go back to fullback next year.

Well I will say it here and now, we won't be in the eight if Roberts is our 5/8 and he is playing fullback.

As a sidenote, I have a bit more respect for Cameron Smith with his after match comments.....

I don't see what all the angst is about. We nearly won didn't we? That's a pretty good effort. I'm happy with that.

Stand Aside...Here come the Mighty Bears

Another defeat plucked from the jaws of victory. If you look at the St George game, the Penrith game and tonights game it was Ben Smith w3ho conceded the error that allowed the opposition to get into position to salvage the match. Not shit stirring...just a fact...

Smith is a notable dumb penalty giver. Probably time to move him on to the UK Super League, he no longer offers us much that someone of lesser ability can not provide.

Nope, Parra did more than anyone expected by putting 18 unanswered points on Melbourne. Unless you predicted that then you are a genius. It's not hard to look at Melbourne and realise they are a gun team, hence why they are sitting outright at the top of the table.

I haven't read all the posts but I am thinking at one stage you would have been praising Parra when we were up 18-0. Melbourne were always going to rack up some points, we didn't have enough in the tank against a quality team. Still, lose by 4 points to the top team isn't that bad, just sucked it was at the end again. I predicted Parra losing by alot more.
