Important Transport Info - Leave the Car at home this Sunday!

All tickets to the Eels v Bulldogs match at ANZ Stadium include entry and travel on Major Event public transport - to and from the game - on CityRail, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries.

Remember to keep your ticket safe for your return journey home, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Call Transport Info on 131 500 or go to the website www.131500.info for full details.

Casual car parking at Sydney Olympic Park is very limited this weekend due to the Easter Show. Unless you have pre-booked car parking, leave the car at home and enjoy a hassle-free trip to and from ANZ Stadium on the Major Event public transport services that are included in your ticket at no extra charge. Call Transport Info on 131 500 or go to the website www.131500.info for full details.

Public transport included in tickets for both ANZ Stadium NRL clashes this weekend Tuesday, 14 April 2009

All tickets to the Rabbitohs v Sea Eagles / Eels v Bulldogs match at ANZ Stadium this Saturday 18 April (7.30pm kick off) / Sunday 19 April (3pm kick off) include entry and travel on Major Event public transport - to and from the game - on CityRail, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries.

Remember to keep your ticket safe for your return journey home, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Call Transport Info on 131 500 or go to the website www.131500.info for full details.

Any footy fan heading to ANZ Stadium this weekend can use the Major Event public transport services – even those who don’t have a pre-purchase ticket.

Fans can travel then buy or collect at the Stadium. Bus, train and ferry operators have been instructed to carry these footy fans without tickets.
Great news, that the Major Event Transport will be running and your tickets gets you there. So Yeah even if you don't pre-purchase, wear your colours and get free transport, SWEET!

Good. ANZ is one of the easier grounds to get to by public transport I find.

If it's a nice day, I might look into the ferry option... at least on th eway there, if they are running.

Good idea, although the forecast ain't great at this stage. You'd need to get the shuttle bus to the ground from the wharf though, as it is quite a hike.

Yeah, I don't mind a walk ;-). Or the rain once in a while really...

But the ferry from Parra on weekends doesn't go direct, and sometimes depending on the weather tides doesn't go at all. Should be safe from Rydalmere, or from on the city side.

Cool, I'm having lunch at the fish markets and had'nt even thought of the ferry to get to the ground.

On the down side, I'm sitting with some Dogs S/T holders....

Could be an interesting afternoon.....

Does anyone know where the "Eels fans" section of ANZ stadium is exactly. Is it a part of the general admin area behind the posts?

Can anyone confirm if that includes Eels Season Ticket Holders and NRL Kids/Player passes?

I've got the same sh*t seat at ANZ stadium as last year, but I just hope it gets me on the train for free. There's no mention of season ticket holders.

Oh bugger... yeah, I can see a situation where transport ticket collectors at various points might know to accept a printed ticketek ticket, but wouldn't know what to think of a plastic card with a smiling Inu. :(

I don't think I'm going to buy a ticket. It does say all tickets....so if I get a fine, I'll be forwarding it onto the ANZ Stadium management and/or Eels management.

Would really recommend that people don't drive to ANZ tomorrow if they can avoid it.

Stagger and I are currently working at the Bunnies Manly game - and the Easter Show is rocking along next door.
The big P1 car park next to the Stadium is only for those that had pre-booked their parking. Lots of cars are turning up for the footy, but they are being turned away.
Miight be the same story tomorrow, esp if the weather is good.

See you all tomorrow, be good, and we can all have an easy day:D

Hey guys

Just to clear up any confusion regarding integrated travel using tickets

I work for a major sydney transport company and I can confirm that you can use your season ticket for the free travel on sydney buses and city rail services. This does also apply to any junior/school/nrl passes.

Just use it as a flash pass!

Transport companies have been advised of this arrangement and the types of tickets used to gain entry to the game so you shouldn't have any problems!

Nice one Holic! But I didn't get to test it out...

My Dad opted out of this game due to the parking situation Tyler described, needing to drive down from Central Coast. Sensible decision by the sounds of it. And since my Dad wasn't going I'm flaking out at home recovering from a hard week of work and study.
