Any other team including the Sharks would have put 40 on newcastle tonight.
Can we please please buy some decent halves.
Mortimer and Keating has absolutely no idea what was going on. There was zero direction.
That would have to rank up there with one of the worst performances of all time. Shocking.

We lost the game before that...Burt from 45 out never should of had a shot-would of put us on attack and a chance to win the game.
Twice we had chances after that to score or atleast put in a good kick but we didnt...Why not a bomb????

Tahu was an absolute liability tonight.
Yeah our halves are crap but we all know that and going into a game with that 'i'm gonna try and knock out the next bloke that runs near me' isn't going to help the team at all.
Being a victim of racism is by no means an excuse to go launching abuse on random players.

Anyone who thinks we are GF bound this year best put a straight jacket on, we'll be lucky to make the 8 IMO. Not just based on this game, look at the 2 sharks games as well and ad in the Canberra game and Tigers game and we really are pretenders.
Forwards have been pretty good the last month but our halves are just not up to NRL level, We'll get smashed by the Broncos next week on this form.

Aside from the odd big effort like against Melbourne, this team has regressed so much since late last year.

I get the impression Mortimer is untouchable. He has been a passenger all year, we've been carrying him. Such a song and dance though, was made of his re-signing, he wont go anyway.

yeah but he has the right blood running through his veins and we have time to train him.

Don't get me f*cking started on why not a bomb. Why not a bomb inF*ckingdeed! Robson feels the need to kick grubbers from more than 20 out, put the ball in the f*cking air you imbecile. Just about the only time they put up a high kick it was too f*cking deep. The only one i remember that was close to not being to deep newcastle dropped it. Then their was the kick with 30 seconds to go and 2 or 3 tackles up your sleeve.:crazy:

Sorry lost the plot there, what i'm simply saying is i agree, a bomb would have been nice.

The thing with the Burt kick for penalty goal was that he actually got the distance, but missed from practically in front!!! But I was screaming at the TV - don't go for the 2 points! But Parra are just soooo defensive, and probably knew they couldn't score again.

Just bad luck his other shot hit the post.

Seriously though, how did we lose that game?

Parra have to realise that throwing the ball to Hayne and hoping he will do something just won't cut it this year.

I don't understand, come Storm time he goes all out, makes sh*t loads of metres, troubles defense, plays aggressive and makes a break to boot.
This game, he was lazy, soft and made one of the lowest ARM count i've seen from him in a while.

The way he is going, he would struggle to make an impression in NSW Cup. Woeful.

Look Id even be prepared to offer bloody Kimmorley a contract or some other 40 year old - anyone who can organise a team. We are running around like a bunch of headless chooks.

Unfortunately Parra seem to or try to play just to the level of the opposition. We lift for the big games against Manly and Melbourne, then play down to the level of the knights and cronulla.
If it's do or die we lift. I'm yet to see Parra go out and dominate like they are able too without having to rely on some external factor kicking them up the bum.
