Unfortunately Parra seem to or try to play just to the level of the opposition. We lift for the big games against Manly and Melbourne, then play down to the level of the knights and cronulla.
If it's do or die we lift. I'm yet to see Parra go out and dominate like they are able too without having to rely on some external factor kicking them up the bum.

The fact of this is that Parra have not won by a big score all season.
If we win , its usually only by a couple of points.

You go with mates, hype it up bout how Haynes gonna hit it up for a couple hundred metres and set up a few beauties, bag out the sharkies and the knights abit because of their sh*t season.

Frustrating. I've got no doubt we have a LOT of attacking potential but...we desperately need Hayne calling for the ball rather than just waiting for it, he's way too passive as a fullback at times, he played aggressive against the Storm, asked for the ball alot and we got 2 great tries on the back of that. Wish Ando would try something to fire him up alot -_-

Tahu was an absolute liability tonight.
Yeah our halves are crap but we all know that and going into a game with that 'i'm gonna try and knock out the next bloke that runs near me' isn't going to help the team at all.
Being a victim of racism is by no means an excuse to go launching abuse on random players.

He certainly continued his good run of form! Ando needs to drop him for a while till he shows he is first grade standard. Horo and Oake are playing very well - making him look a fool really. Timana needs to have a very good look at these two, adjust his attitude and do a bit. Two rookies sh*tting all over him should be a wake up call.

If Parra were having second thoughts about KK, not he best time to pull that one out.

Morts has been pathetic from Day 1. Hayne and company made him look good. I do not think he did anything extraordinary last year...

I don't really mind Morts too much, he's got a real cattledog style of footy, keeps chasing it and has lots of energy.
Problem is he needs a strong and smart half to back him, except we have KK who plays a very similar style to him.
We can't have our 2 playmakers going for a ball-running style.
Either Ando fixes their roles or we inject Hayne back at 5/8. Because if we continue like we did tonight it'd just be :S
BUT GODDAMMIT SOMEONE PLEASE PUT SOME AGGRO INTO HAYNE, I WANT SOME MONGREL FROM HIM.

seriously, how many of our tries all year have come from downfield there's not many from the opposition 20 because our bloody halves cant grubber or bomb! so they go for the long pass instead which goes out over the sideline half the time either on its own or with a winger attached! they kick it dead far too often as well

Morts and KK were as bad as each other tonight, KK has shown more this season(not a big wrap) but with Morts being here in the future i'd be bringing Humble in to 6 and KK on the bench. Humble at least looks likely of doing something.

after the Melb game DA said he doesn't instruct when to take penalty kicks at goals, he lets the players decide .... well from now on DON'T - that kick for goal was absolutely f**king stupid in those conditions - I have a feeling it was Burt's decision - he deserves a kick in the head!

I personally think and have thought all along - that Morts is a very average player. yes hes fit and willing but small and very very slow.
In my posts from last year, when people we salavating about him, I just couldnt see what all the fuss was about.

As for KK... I dont know.

I think to succeed as a half these days you have to have one of the following
1. Organisational skill (like a Sterlo) OR
2. Be fast (Like a sandow or Prince or JT) OR
3. Be big enough to practically play like another forward (like Hodgkinson)

The good halfbacks have two or three of these attributes.
Now how many of these attributes does KK or Morts have ?

KK. , Nil organisational ability, Can be quick, Small in Stature.
Morts - Nil organisational ability, Slow and small in stature

Keating just seems to get in the way all the time, especially Hayne's way. Mortimer was hardly seen tonight. I would not mind Humble at 7 pushing Mortimer back to 6, or even Robson back to 7. Whatever happens Hayne needs to be the major playmaker like last year, with Keating in the side he just seems to get in the way.
I'd say Hindmarsh and Poore did more ball-playing than the halves tonight.

KK and Morts have some ability - but they are complimentary types of players - ie they would do well playing along side a dominant half who has the balls\brains\ability to make decisions and execute them .... we need a players like that desperately!
