Embarrassing

The comment from the Storm supporter is a fair one. I can see this and appreciate why it was made.

What was the reaction from the anti-Sheens' cronies? The use of a four letter word.

So you're saying we don't have enough talent to make the top 8 of a 16 team comp?

If you think a coach who played a phantom call of a game where the Warriors won the grand final...instead of delivering a half-time address.....during the actual grand final is what we need.....then yeah, he's perrrrrrrrfect. Ask Kevin Campion what he thinks.

Ok, so he screwed up a halftime talk in a GF, but what has Sheens done the past 7 yrs?

The Tigers missed the finals 2005/6/7/8/9. The only other clubs to miss the finals 5 straight yrs or more after winning a GF were the Panthers in 1991 and the Eels in 1986.

Anderson took the Warriors to semi finalists in 2001/2/3 and the Eels to the GF in 2009.
Sure, he might not be a 10 yr coach, or even a 5 yr coach at a club, but give him three yrs and i am sure he will do alot better than Teflon and his musical chairs in the halves.

There was a caller on the Big Sports Breakfast today defending Sheens cause Benji had more combos in the halves than a Chinese restaurant!
And who is to blame for that? Tim Sheens!

Yes, I believe our team has aged. A criticism I make of Sheens is his loyalty to some players who have failed to perform. I won't mention names but I would have liked promoted a couple of younger players into the team. In saying that, one of my choices, Andrew Vela, was hurt.

During this off season, I would be disappointed if around 6 new faces did not make their way into the squad.

I think it is ridiculous that we were pre-season favourites, but to say this team doesn't have enough talent to finish higher than 10th is laughable.

Which players do you think need to be moved on?

I had an interesting chat with a trainer on Sat night
The trainer is from one side of the JV
As I was walking into the ground he was going home
If you think Sheens is on the nose with fans you should hear what those inside the club think of him
And for a clue, this guy ain't from the side of the JV that was lapped
The hate for Sheens from fans, players and support staff (except those his in inner circle) is at an extreme level. His position is untenable and the club is divided and Sheens is virtually universally hated.
Do you think Blocker's thoughts are solely Blocker's or do you think they might also be the thoughts of one of Blocker's ex team mates who can't really speak publicly about what is really happening ?

As a supporter of the Club and Sheens -

1. I believe we rely far too much on Farah and Marshall (both continue to be outstanding players).
2. The loss of Lui has impacted enormously on the team.
3. Lawrence's injury and the lack of penetration on the left side has hurt the team greatly.
4. The absence for 14 weeks of Ellis and also the absence of Galloway has hurt.
5. Some players who should have performed did not and as I say Sheens' loyalty to some of them was misplaced. Is loyalty a fault? I don't believe it is but perhaps he needs to look at this aspect.
6. Some of our players are rated too highly. We have some consistent NRL players but that is all they are and we need to develop and promoet more skillful players from the juniors.
7. Tedesco, Koroibete, Sironen, BMM, Woods are all products of the system.

Solution: Buy a halfback. Even knowing we don't have one next year, Sheens bought another five-eighth. Chad Townsend, Luke Kelly and Rory Kostjasyn were all free this year, we ignored all, as well as the NSW 20's halfback who actually plays for us!
2. The loss of Lui has impacted enormously on the team.
Moltzen trained all off-season with Marshall as a halfback. That pair had worked very well in the past. After 3 games that combo was dumped. Whose fault is that? Don't blame injuries, because we had Meaney, Ryan and Humble who can all play fullback.
3. Lawrence's injury and the lack of penetration on the left side has hurt the team greatly.
Both our centres were poor because of the service they got from the halves.
4. The absence for 14 weeks of Ellis and also the absence of Galloway has hurt.
Whose fault is it for us not having more front rower depth at the club? Maybe if Blair did some dirty work, Ellis' loss would have be amply covered. Who was responsible for signing Blair?
5. Some players who should have performed did not and as I say Sheens' loyalty to some of them was misplaced. Is loyalty a fault? I don't believe it is but perhaps he needs to look at this aspect.
Loyalty? like when he signed Gibbs for 3 years last February and 10 weeks later released him? Sheen's loyalty is excessive and detrimental to the team. The fact Dane Chisholm didn't get a run in first grade at all this year is unforgiveable. The fact Koroibete couldn't get a run until Sheens' hand was forced through injuries is deplorable. Players didn't perform because our spine was never settled. Its borderline impossible to create combinations and fluency or unity in attack and defence when the squad is moved into different positions and roles every week. Sheens has 17 favourite players and he tries to ensure they all get a run every week, instead of replacing specialist players with specialists in lower grrades.
6. Some of our players are rated too highly. We have some consistent NRL players but that is all they are and we need to develop and promoet more skillful players from the juniors.
9 test players in the side. Their rating is justified. Furthermore, this is the most pathetic excuse I've ever heard.
7. Tedesco, Koroibete, Sironen, BMM, Woods are all products of the system.
and they played purely because of a lack of depth (prop, back row), or injuries forced Sheens hand (halves)

I agree. To add to that we need to start having a solid game plan each week that does not change within reason due to injuries or the opposition.

I think this season we haven't developed our own style at all.
