i think the rugby league world in 10 or 20 yrs time will look back on the year 2004 as the end of an era not only do we loose our last link to an era gone by in Fitler due to retirement we also loose tallis, girdler, satler, senter, lang amongst others but also a host of players have changed clubs such as wiki, price, kite, tahu, vaealiki, lyon(traitor),kenedy and ridell players who you thought would have stayed at there clubs for there whole career yes next year will be a totally different looking comp, a comp where apart for 1 or 2 clubs the starting line ups will look totally different.

care to predict the top 8 and wooden spooners?

Manly to finally get the spoon. Souths to improve, but only to around 12th or so. Parramatta to just sneak into the 8. Cowboys to finish in the top 3.

We will finish top four on two main factors
1 Our halves combination gel and gel quickly
2 We have a good season without injuries
I think Tigers or Manly for the Spoon with Souths not to far behind.

Top 4 finish or Smith is gone I reckon.

Sharks for the spoon, get your $$$ on early.

On paper we're top four again. On the field, I hope, but I'll reserve judgement until I see positional selections and whether the new combos gel.

I think we will finish around 5th,6th,7th. Like Bartman I will wait until any more cockiness. Knights will be down near the spoon I also say.

Seriously, Parra to be minor premiers lol. No, my money would be on the Cowboys to win the minor.

They say history never repeats, well, let me take you back to 2000.
Parra finish 7th. Upset 2nd(Roosters), beat Penrith, only to bow out to the minor Premiers (Brisbane) with a few dodgy calls.
Win Minor premiership following year.

2004. Cowboys finsh 7th. Upset 2nd (Bulldogs)(which like Parra against the roosters, hadnt done for a while). Beat Brisbane, only to bow out to the minor Premiers (Roosters) after some dodgy calls.

Both Grand Finals were 1v2. Both times the Roosters lost.

Food for thought????????
