End of Season Excitement: Who Will Be 15th?

Listening to commentary about the Dragons, you can tell they don’t take the Club seriously and we are pretty much a private joke amongst them now.
They are basically laughing now during the commentary. How the Club and board can allow this to continue is a disgrace.
We are heading down to bottom dwellers territory and teams will pencil us in as a guaranteed win next year.
Not looking forward to next year with this rabble of a club. It is a mighty shame that with several promising young players coming through our lower grades, they see the reality of us being just a dumb run club and some likely looking at an escape route out.

Even though we all know that McGregor and Co are not able to coach first grade, several of the players are well and truly behind in basic skills and when confidence is down and they know the season is done, their desire to be effective drops immensely.

Hopefully the brain trust of this once mighty club can come up with genuine solutions besides giving McGregor the drop kick between the posts.

We have become one of the easy beats of the comp and clubs can pencil in the two competition points when they play us and some lucky to get four points when they play us twice.

If you were a Storm or Roosters follower, boy oh boy you would have something to look forward to for the years ahead rather than doom and gloom!

Look like Dragon fan's opinion is almost 50/50 on who will win the Tigers match.

Every cloud has its silver lining. I was surprised how much I didn't care about my favorite player's performance in the Roosters match. Thanks Paul.

This weekend I'm actually looking forward to the game and hoping Benji and company humiliate the coaching staff and each and every person in the club's management.

My updated prediction:

Tigers to win.
Cowboys to win.
Paul will still be coach next year getting paid that big coach money. Paul wins also.
Fans lose.

Cowboys did it.
Dragons can seal the 15th with a loss to the Tigers.
If they win and the Warriors lose against Souths then we'll have an interesting Round 25.

Be careful. You have just foreseen this weeks Mary's pre game press conference in how much we have to play for..
We are a mathematical possibility of 14th place....or even as high up as12th.
Just need some other results to go our way.
We are and should be aiming to finish strong to give us confidence for next year that we can at least beat 2 sides in the competition at the back half of a season. Tigers & Titans

True enough but his pre-game press conference will be as effective as all his others.

Tigers win and the misery is ended for this season.

When Tigers win that will set up the Spoon Bowl giving the Titans a lot to play for. No way out of 16th for them this year but they can put a good scoreline on the Dragons and use the McGregor technique to argue that they could have been 15th.....

I am waiting for someone in the Dragoons to come out and say they will win for the fans on their last home game as my confirmation that they will be flogged and I can tip Tigers in my tipping comp. Every time they come out and promise a good performance it is usually up there as one of the worst. Nightingales last game a Kogarah still wins hands down against the struggling Dogs when they were all going to do it for Nighty., but there are many this year that are not far behind that pathetic effort.

Not to mention Lance Thompson's memorial on the same night.
Pathetic, weak kneed, disgraceful performance.
Booed off the field by "ungrateful fans" on our spiritual home ground.
Indefensible and unforgivable.
McGregor should have been sacked on the spot.

But this time it is at one of many "Right Game Right Venue" grounds...our spiritual home of the 50's-70's where we had many wins and little there since.....the SCG!

Gawd , the crap that comes from his mouth , the man is attempting to make a silk purse from a sows ear .

It makes me wonder if Mary either failed a half-wits propaganda course or was simply booted out for being too damn dumb ? :flushed:

If other results go our way and we win the next two games by 50+ then we finish 11th.

Maybe.

Moving all commentary back to the Spoon thread. The Titans fate is sealed but based on all the check marks above think they have a better than 50% shot at winning next week's SPOON BOWL. Titans will be playing to salvage whatever self-respect they have left and Dragons will be playing to salvage whatever credibility the Dragons organization has left in 2019. That's a whole difference in motivation.
