Classic fractured mandible there. Complete with blow out fracture on the opposite side of the contact.

Fractures get me slick
Stupid question . Im not a medical person so forgive me When that sort of blow to jaw happens do the club and medical staff also do all the tests for concussion as well at the time ? It must shake the brain up a bit too.

I was wondering why there seemed to be two fractures on opposite side.

Looks f**king horrific.

What's the recovery time on something like that?

6-8 weeks in a non fit person. Will need plates both sides that one. You'll notice one fracture is what we call comminuted. Thats the one on the side where the blow was. Not badly displaced so they'll pop a plate over the fragment

Yep. Your brain doesn't escape trauma in this type of injury. Boxing analogy. One flush on the chin often leads to unconsciousness.
