Hughes and The Captain not out at lunch. Hopefully they both kick on after the break and get big scores.
Hughes instead came in at first drop and drove the left-arm spinner Simon Kerrigan confidently through cover for a boundary after Kerrigan had got rid of Warner attempted a similar drive.
Captain out for 44. Smith 18. Khawaja a one boundary eight ball 4. Meanwhile a patient Phil Hughes is 27 not out. Has batted for the longest so far of all our batsmen. Hopefully they hang around down the other end.
This is apparently a very bowler friendly pitch. Hughes has done very well to survive. Showing Test mentality.
What the Zimbabweans would give to get Ballance back.
