Personally, I dont think Burrow, Jones-Buchanan or Morley should be in that team. IMO, Shaun Lunt has been by far the best hooker in the SL this year and as a Leeds fan, I'm embarrassed that Burrow has got in ahead of him. Jones-Buchanan has become a liability at times with his goal line defence and keeps getting caught out. I would have liked to have seen Danny Kirkmond get a shot there. As for Moz, all I can see him being there for is his experience. He doesnt have anywhere near the impact he used to have anymore and if he makes the World cup squad i'd be disappointed. Especially with the Burgesses and Graham over in Australia.

Out of this squad I'd like to see the line up as follows though:

Tomkins
Charnley
Cudjoe
Hardaker (No other option but Watkins will have that spot if he recovers in time)
Hall
Chase
Myler
Crabtree
Sinfield (c)
Mossop
Farrell
Westwood
O'Loughlin

Roby
Hill
Morley
Ferres

18th: Ellis

Reserves: Jones-Buchanan, Burrow

This wont happen though and Sinfield will be at Lock, Burrow off the interchange as a hooker and Ellis will get the spot of Brett Ferres.

Yeah, that was my thinking, plus it would give us skill and speed in both half positions too.

It is a real shame that the Exiles are not a rest of the World side. Danny Brough (Sco) should play, as should a couple of the French players and possibly one or two young Welsh. This would improve the standard of the Exiles, which would help both Great Britain and also the other developing nations.

Wow.... The perfect opportunity to test out the young players and they come up with this team? What a waste. Morley????? What good does that do anyone?
Good call re a rest of the world team.
As it is this game is a farce.

its too late to test out players...aside from australian based players the england team that starts against the exiles is gonna be near as possible the same team that lines up against australia in cardiff..

To be fair with Sam & George Burgess and James Graham in the team it improves England by a long way. Widdop would also improve it but McNamara will not pick him and Jack Reed is about on a par with Cudjoe IMO so he will not improve the team too much. I hope Watkins is fit for the World Cup!

If England are to be any hope of winning the World Cup they should be beating this team by 40+, most of the Exiles players would struggle to get a run in the NRL nowadays let alone be in contention for rep honors.

Agreed. Any of these players playing in the NRL would be as ludicrous as Craig Gower returning to Australia's premier comp.

Hopefully this is the last time this fixture is staged.

A Rest of the world side would be much better, imo. It would expose young French and Celtic players to a higher level, and give players a reason to choose and stick with those nations. It would also strengthen the opposition that England is playing, which can also only be a good thing.
