The venues for this years test series are going to be announced later this morning,they are expected to be as follows


1st test - Hull's KC stadium on friday 30th october

capacity 25,404

2nd test - London's Olympic stadium on saturday 7th november

capacity 54,000

3rd test - Wigan's DW stadium on saturday 14th november

capacity 25,138

i make that nearly 105,000 tickets available for the series which i a good increase on the usual 75,000....

What is the logic behind choosing the Olympic Stadium in London??

dunno? im deadset against it until they install the retractable seating,which is happening after we play there....the actual playing surface area of the olympic stadium is larger than the MCG so we're going to be miles away from the pitch...

wembley is unavailable because of the NFL iirc


personally id have tried to play a one off test at stamford bridge


im just trying to find out whether the olympic stadium will be in 80,000 capacity mode or 54,000

Really would've preferred either Stamford Bridge or Emirates Stadium. Really bugs me when Rugby League uses oval shaped grounds, especially since England have some of the greatest rectangular stadiums on the face of the earth.

Apart from the terrible view for fans, even if they pull off the unthinkable and attract 27,000 (half capacity) will still look horrible on TV.

If they insist on taking a game to London they should be using either the Stoop (12,500) or Allianz Park (10,000), which are both purpose-built for Rugby.

I'm comparing it not to recent WC matches, but to Four Nations/Tri Nations matches in years gone by where we'd struggle to fill Loftus Rd.

I would love to be proven wrong though of course.

The article in the Guardian says 54,000 'spud.

Ok, I stand corrected, BUT....

2013 was a WC match which has more prestige and a double-header! So you would think has a bit more pull than this Four Nations match against NZ will.

Honestly, I'll be impressed with anything over 20,000.

the rivalry us and the kiwis have built up in the last few years has guaranteed we'll get double that at a minimum...the semi final & last years Dunedin game where 2 of the best test matches ever played...

im gonna be disappointing with less than 50,000 lol
