England v New Zealand series

So this series really has an interesting twist now for English fans. If you beat NZ in the series, does this help keep Australia number one ranked team. Does victory push England higher in its rankings? Totally accept all fans want their team to win, and no doubt players play to win every game, but as an English supporter that presumably would like nothing more than to see Aussies lose top dog status, at this point in time what sits higher - England defeat NZ, or Aussies tumbled??

What right-minded RL fan still thinks Australia are the current number 1 RL team in the world?

Well if new Zealand are beaten by England surely that lessens their claim to number one ranking. Rankings are earnt over time. Surely being current world cup holders for less than 2 years has some sway if NZ can't beat number three. People suddenly seem to think the kiwis have dominated for years. Sure the gap has closed but their dominance has only been since last November and unless they back it up in England maybe they don't have a claim to number one status.

The Kiwis will back it up and beat England and won't need the help of the video ref to beat them like we did.
There will be massive hits with 2 monster packs, but the Kiwis are better in the backs, and that will win them the series.

In all fairness, if Leeds are allowed to pick a full strength team it will be a tougher match for the Kiwi's than if they play France.

all of leeds england players will be in england camp..england play france the day after leeds play NZ...

if ryan hall or kallum watkins get injured playing for leeds when they should be playing for england v france there'll be uproar..

england need to be going into the series at full tilt,we need to play our starting 13 for the 1st test against NZ against france..

To be fair, who else is going to make the England squad from Leeds other than Hall, Watkins and possibly Hardaker? Leeds have been without Hall for the last couple of weeks. They will have plenty to make it a run out for the Kiwis. That is all that's needed here.

I imagine Cuthbertson is on Macbananas radar

He shouldn't be. He is 30 years old and could have declared for England a decade ago. He wasn't that bothered about playing for England while playing for City in 2011-2013.

He is a great player but this is not a good example of how to run an international set-up if he is selected.
