Rule only applies to tier 1 change to tier 2 not tier 1 to tier 1.... McQueen will be ineligible for origin now not that he had a chance in the first place

Don't really know much SL players but that looks like a strong England team with Sam Burgess in there... What do you guys think of the English team? Wanna know what my Samoan team are up against

I believe they scrapped that rule to allow islanders to play for their parents nation without losing the chance of playing origin.

Yeh but that was for "tier 2" nations, NZ and England internationals aren't able to represent Australia at all so therefor no Origin?

Shouldn't be the case if you ask me, anyone who meets the fairly strict criteria rules for Origin should be able to play regardless of their national allegiance. Ponga is a prime example from another thread, should be able to play for QLD given he meets the criteria without it being the deciding factor on whether he chooses Australia or NZ.

Haven't seen a great deal of SL this year but have seen a fair share of those player'ms in recent years. Honestly I think if Samoa can get anywhere near their "A team" out then England will have a tough job winning, will be a very interesting game.

Oh ok I thought it was just you can't switch between the nation sides I didn't realise it was applied to Origin also.

How does a national body/coach think that picking 2 players who aren't good enough to play in Australia's selection trial are good enough to beat Australia?
Feel sorry for whichever 2 English players who missed the squad for those 2 plods.

Is it likely that heighington is just emergency cover? Rather than send over injury cover players from England?

He's a prop these days so no.. Graham, hill,Taylor, walmsley,Tom Burgess,Sam Burgess if needed,Plenty of prop cover for one game

We've 3 number 12's and no 11...Joe greenwood is a leftside 2nd rower I'd have selected him..

If Samoa pick a team as strong as I think it will be, they will win this comfortably. Bennett has been a disaster from day one for England RL
