I disagree with the comment about Liam Farrell & McQueen..Liam Farrell is that work horse 2nd rower that every team needs..

But anyway..c'mon Samoa, beat us so we can sack bennett

To be honest at least he is putting them up against a team that will challenge them, and also its away from the UK. He could of taken the easier option of staying in the UK playing France and putting 40 plus on them or like England do - never play a game. I think one of the reasons the Kiwis got ahead of England was because of the amount of times they had to play Aussie and the amount of times they had to blood younger players early in Tests against them.

Tonight's game of the Kiwis vs Aussie should be a cracker, but with Kidwell at the helm I'm not convinced he can get the best out of them. He has no excuses this time around with the players and time to plan he has at his feet compared to last years Four Nations. But i really cant wait for the England vs Samoa game, this is the game of the weekend for me. Just hope Samoa can aim up like they did in 2014 Four Nations.

Agree, England (and NZ) would benifit immensly if an annual mid year clash in NZ gets off the ground. Plus if they stick with it it gives NZRL a guarenteed home game every year.

It should be on the origin weekend in Auckland. The RFL should get their shit in order and give the SL the week off as well.

They could try and line up games between the other home nations and possibly France during the break as well.
But what do we know?

It's funny watching you English fans carry on about bannett , one of the best of all time, questioning his calls , the guy knows his shit, he took nz to a World Cup. that was his doing behind the scenes. He knows what to look for.

zac hardaker was pretty avg when he was in the nrl, so if he's the best talent you have :grimacing: Jesus god save the queen :joy:. The nrl's obsession with a ball playing fullback ? Maybe because it's better then having a fullback that can't do it lol.

You are being incredibly harsh on zak,he arrived midway through the season,no pre season, not blooding in the nsw cup, pretty much straight into the 17 and played out of position...

This game was arranged after the ESL fixtures where released, next season expect there to be a blank weekend

I would hope so and I can appreciate this was announced after the fixtures were released, although I doubt the RFL didn't know it was a distinct possibility before the fixtures were released.

I think with the ridiculously long season they could just enforce a maximum number of regular season games for each player. Adds a bit of tactics to when coachs give their stars a rest and factor their likelyhood of gaining rep selection in to it.

Add in a game V France in France and a home game invitational after the SL grand final (France/Wales/Ireland/Scotland/Italy/Jamaica/USA/Canada/Fiji/Samoa/Tonga/PNG/anyone/everyone) and you have a pretty good set calendar for players and fans before the end of year stuff begins.

Probably all too hard though.

Something that is bothering me more than it should is the new badge. I think the new crest is brilliant its very English with the three lions and very league with the v. But why do we need to have England rugby league written next to it twice as big on all the shirts?

Well the bookies here only give Samoa 6pts start so it's not that big a upset..also every single one of us could pick a better England team

I think people are reading too much in to past history and not enough in to the actual teams if they think England are shoe ins. Would be a bigger surprise to me if NZ beat Australia honestly.

Gee how poor have Samoa been, easily the worst of the sides that have played today....dropped balls, tackled on the 5th...hardly fired a shot...England, on the other hand, is killing them with fast play the ball and their handling has been good...looks like the score will blow out in the second half.
