4,066 at Cougar Park today to farewell Danny Jones. Fantastic effort from the Rugby League community, I'm sure a few neutrals went along to that one too. I wonder how many years it's been since they had a crowd that big?

just a update on oldham,we had a meeting with chris hamilton 2 weeks ago,last thursday we had a meeting with rugby oldham,the supporters trust,...and now on june 1st theres "3 party" talks between us,ORLFC & RO...

Good win by us today..45-20 against newcastle..

Blank weekend next week due to the summer bash & our league cup final at blackpool...but we return in a couple of week against keighley away..a win there could really set up on course for a excellent season,against all my predictions

Good results for Championship clubs against Super League teams in the Cup today too, Leigh beating Wakefield and Widnes and Catalan only beating Batley and Featherstone by 4 and 3 points respectively.

Pre super league it wasn't unheard of...we reached a couple of semi finals from the old divison 1 in the late 80s..

Ok, fair enough, but still I doubt there were many times where it was 3/8 teams! Anyway (any RL historians reading this? please?)


Championship's answer to Magic Weekends is on this weekend, the Blackpool Summer bash. Any word on ticket sales? I hope both days go well. Though looking at the forecast, I don't think there will be anything particularly 'summery' about it.

No idea about tickets but it's strange that every single match from this weekend is being televised after no TV coverage at all for the entire rest of the competition.

The average for the days works out at 2,162 which is more than every teams current average except bradford so imo it is a success.
