Why only a one year deal?
The short terms seem to be an Ennis thing - perhaps he's building a wider portfolio for his future head coaching resume... or maybe he just likes mixing it up? Either way.. it's an impressive record so far:Why only a one year deal?
Not sure you can blame Ennis for that. DCE is more to blame with his bizarre handling of his contract or non contract with the Roosters for next year.Really did well at Manly - all star line up - and massive failures.
So given he has only signed for 1 year at this stage and his history, looks like he won't stick around for long. The short terms seem to be an Ennis thing - perhaps he's building a wider portfolio for his future head coaching resume... or maybe he just likes mixing it up? Either way.. it's an impressive record so far:
Joined Canberra staff in 2019 - grand final
Joined Eels staff in 2022 - grand final
Eagles staff in 2024 - 2nd week of finals
Worth re-listening to his long interview with James Graham from the early days of Graham's podcast
He wants to be a head coachIs this another job for the boys thing ...... Hope not and he does improve the team , but only one year , not sure why ?
Go to his profile it's just page after page of negativity . It looks like Ennis has a pretty good track record and he was a great defender . His input couldn't hurt , we need something to change in our defensive plan that's for sure . I'm happy for this signing .Not sure you can blame Ennis for that. They're full dummy's, we don't do things by half measures. So our coaching staff is 3 dummy half’s?
Listening to the podcast you hear a genuine desire to succeed. Looking at the success of clubs he was at indicates he is either lucky to get good jobs at the right time or he is an infectious winner. Given that he was at the Raiders & Eels the years they got to GFs shows he can have an positive influence on our team. Let's get behind him and our other coaches to make this club a success again.
