Our club has kinda gone astray in developing players, look at other clubs, like the roosters, and dogs, they can take average players and turn them into quality players, firstly they improve their fitness and defence. Players like Fitzgibbon, Cayless, FInch, etc for the roosters, when they arrived there they were pretty average players now they're internationals and origin reps. Take a look at Anthony Tupou, he was not much more than a 130kg kid with alot of potential but heavily overweight, unfit and going to waste, in the space of two seasons at the roosters he's turned himself into probably the best up and coming front rower in the game. If he was still at the knights I doubt he'd be anywhere near as fit, athletic and motivated, he'd probably be Josh Perry's pie eating partner.

LOL!!!

Anyway, I do agree that a lot of our boys have benefitted a lot from playing under other coaches. Steve Simpson is one who improved out of sight after his first game of country origin under Brian Smith. He went from being a very safe and conservative 'bash and barge' type forward to really looking to create things. Tahu really improved under Smith as well, as did John Morris (Smith is the best at finding new skills in players and developing them).

I doubt it was a week under smith that made these blokes improve. I'd be more confident it was the confidence they got from making a rep team.

Ben - that has to be one of the most rediculous comments I have seen on this board (there have been plenty to pick from!).

Ball and Flegg players - their coaching will show what sort of future they will have in the big league. To say those players learn from others they play with is rediculous - they are all still learning!
if you think its rediculous so be it, but you have your opinion and i have my own

Agree with 100% aqua duck. That's the point I raised in earlier post on this thread that the knights leave a bit to be desired as far as developing players to there full potential. The whole of the Knights administration needs a complete review from coaching, development of talent, identifying potential, conditioning well just the whole set up just requires a good revamp.Warren Ryan as coaching director would be a step in the right direction.
