“The Kea plan to divide their games between their home stadium in Christchurch and Balmain's spiritual home ground of Leichhardt Oval”

Wow the split custody arrangement done with two towns 50km apart doesn’t work! Let’s do it across two countries instead!

Stupid backward f**ks.
Harsh but fair. We need more ideas like this during the off season to keep us amused.

Don't forget that PVL will have a team from Perth play home games in sydney. I'm not sure this wouldn't attract his interest

They aren’t thinking big enough.

Kea should merge with Perth and PNG, with a 9-2 ground split between Leichhardt and North Sydney Oval. Then they should host the soon required 4pm Friday game at Magic Round against Canberra.

Dare to dream.

Two things

What is actually left of Balmain Tigers? Physically, monetarily, property, junior pathways? From what I’ve heard over the years there’s literally nothing left but the Tiger and Benny Elias waxing lyrical but am happy to be corrected or at least enlightened.

Secondly, rebrand as the Fuzzy Warblers.

HBG, (Wests Ashfield) own Balmains premises and pokies licenses. That also fund the Balmain juniors, matts/ball etc.

I would have thought that the tigers brand etc belongs to wests Ashfield now and couldn’t be moved elsewhere? What exactly are balmain offering to move?

Very much doubt Balmain would even be able to take the Tigers’ brand with them if Wests wanted to keep it. It’s been 25 years, I doubt Wests would even consider going back to Magpies despite what some Nostalgia hungry old boys might want.

An External Review of the Governance of Holman Barnes Group

We are launching this action because WE DO NOT have faith in the current governance of the majority shareholder of the Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group (HBG).
This action commenced after the HBG board continued to drag its feet over introducing and adopting the full recommendations from the 2023 external review into the governance of the Wests Tigers.
We fought so hard for that review and it only came about because everyone supported the petition. That petition created some real change at OUR club. But the job is not done yet.
This time, we intend to make our action much bigger and louder, with a large number of individual supporter groups, social media, and media outlets all working together to support this action under the banner of ‘Wests Tigers Unite’.
In a time where the trajectory of our club is heading in the right direction (at Wests Tigers level), the HBG board continues to cause repeated embarrassment. Any personal issues need to be put aside and collectively, as a fan base, this is us coming together for a result we all want & need.
We again ask that you take an interest in this important matter as it is the final hurdle in giving the Wests Tigers the ownership and governance that will help the club we all love thrive.
This petition is calling for a comprehensive external review of the governance of the Holman Barnes Group and will be presented to the HBG, Liquor and Gaming NSW, and the NSW Minister for Liquor and Gaming, The Hon. David Harris, MP.
