Seeing how badly Villa went last season and how devoid of anything they were again Saturday they need some new players/players back asap or they must be a bit of a chance to go down.

I think both of us are gonna struggle after watching that game.

Dunne and Albrighton but they wouldn't have made a hell of a difference to the end result. Couldn't believe how reluctant we were in trying to play the ball forward. Agbonlahor is a big loss for us especially with Holman running around.

All banter aside I think Man United will clinch the title and Man City will finish second. No other team will come close. Once Van Persie gels with the rest of the United team, they will be near unbeatable. We played United at a good time.

Also if we can avoid too many stupid results (e.g. losing to QPR at home) I can definitely see us finishing top 4. Jelavic, Pienaar, Naismith and Mirallas are all class signings and we've only lost Cahill (way past his prime) and Rodwell over the off-season.

Also I can (unfortunately) see Liverpool eventually getting their arse into gear. They'll stay up (hope I'm wrong).

Typical LFC fan going on about the past.

We beat Man United,
You guys got thrashed by West Brom...

...nuff said!

COYB IMWT FTRS ETID!

Typical Bitter, using individual games and finishing above their superior neighbours once every 6 seasons as a way of justifying their own last 25 years of mediocrity.

Dry up your tears, your tears- no trophies for 17 years ;-)

Yeah yeah, Evertonians have been saying that for the last two decades. Granted, Moyes is a good manager with the resources available to him, but if the board has the same obsession with Liverpool that most of their fanbase has, then I don't know how far 'up' they have to go...

Bump.

Time for a mid-season review to see who has egg on their faces already. Or maybe people want to change their predictions?

Difference is we're on the way up and you guys are on the way down.
I think last season was where we hit the bottom

After a tough start to the season where we only got 2 points from 5 games we've pushed up to 25 points, still not great but only two losses since the match against Manure isnt bad. bit of a gap now though with the four teams above us all on 30 points, 5 points ahead. We have the sort of draw where we could make a good run home, but the January run of United Arsenal and City all away (broken up by Norwich at home in there) will be the acid test. We jag a few points from that run of games we have a very nice run home. We get belted in those games and we are a way off the pace.

January transfers will be interesting, looks like Sturridge is on the way, might be good might be bad. Confident we are on the improve in terms of style of play and performance, even is results havent always fallen in our favour.

As for the premier league, United would be in trouble if RVP went down you would think, City arent playing particularly well. One of them should win unless Chelsea really come home strong

My predictions were okay but it's looking like United will go on to win it unless RVP gets injured for a while then they will drop some points.

Happy with my Suarez scoring a lot more goals prediction lol.

Liverpool are still a chance for a top 4 if they can find some sort of consistency.
