Grothe showed glimpses of greatness but I think he is capable of so much more, it might take him a while to get his confidence back after all he was out for most of last year but once he gets his confidence back him and Tahu are going to run riot on all the NRL teams

He had a very strong game - some good defensive plays to stop overlaps too - and no silly passes.

I particularly liked how he decided he was a better left side winger and one stage and ran all the way across field and up the left side  .....unfortunately Morris then threw th ball wide to where Grothe was supposed to be on the right (without looking) and it went sailing into touch :?

He did that against Souths as well.

Brian, you've been making some great positional changes that we've all been asking for. One more please... Grothe to the LEFT wing... I've been asking since Rnd 1.

The only problem with this player whom I would sign for life is that mentally I perceive him to be weak.

The only reason I can see for Smithy not playing Tahu & Grothe on the same side is that he wants to have a 'strike' player on both sides of the field.

Grothe just looks so much more dangerous and comfortable on the left though. A big strong right arm fend isn't to effective when you're playing on the right wing.

He was really good last night and was always a threat. Just needs to control the offload instead of pushing the pass once to often.

Burt & Graham can both be dangerous in attack... hopefully that'll be enough to see Grothe back on the left from next week

Grothe can be awesome, he just needs someone inside him that will pass him the ball and not leave him stranded in defence. Hopefully Wagon's centre days are over. [-o<

Exactly! He's got to have the ball to be able to work his magic, last night he had it more than previous weeks. :D

Gurus best game all year. Yes, hopefully Smith willm put him on the left where he will push for State of origin selection. Just keep the offloads to a minimum. :D
