Actually the great big press announcement without sufficient evidence at the timr and leaks to media are what brought the game into disrepute.

I think 3 months was mentioned. Definitely a different level to what was going on at the bombers. I also think our lack of governance/systems (i.e. evidence) may help save our dumb asses. I bet there's no paper trail where Flanno signed off on 1500 player injections (actually I doubt there were any more than a fraction of that given anyway).

My concern too. Essendon have money and seem more concerned about loss of draft picks. NRL has no draft and we have little money. Similar outcome to Essendon would see us with no points next year and a monster fine, plus coach suspended. How could they fine us less? Clear lack of governance and bringing the game into distepute. Massive backlash if Essendon cooperate and get hammered more than us. I had hoped we could get penalties this year but looks like 2 years of pain for us. More great work from the people that run the joint. Is there anyone left who truly believes we will get off completely? Chance of players getting infraction notices still looms. Look at the penalty Essendon got without being proven to have taken illegal ElephantJuice. Our management has basically admitted we took them. What a debacle! Start of this I wrote off this year's chances never thought next year we could get rubbed out too. Fergo eanted to go to a club who have a chance of winning the premiership and we are linked. Serious. A match made in heaven. Serial losers.

We won't cop the same IMO but there will be pressure on to make it the same. So it may be more the same than it should be.

He may well be right about the relocation. It is without doubt an ARLC strategy to reduce the number of Sydney teams & have a Perth side. There is no better time, lets face it

If there is a fine and/or a banning and then Asada find nothing. I would expect legal proceedings.
The nrl won't want that. They will want a quick solution to get there name out of the paper and keep the afl in it.

Realistically how have the sharks brought disrepute. No one commented like at the bombers. All media outlets kept it on the front page to sell papers without any proof, apart from the Kav report. Would that hold up in court? I doubt it.

I think Dave smith is too smart to rush into an afl type decision. He is just watching their moves and planning a better response.
