Calling it now - if he plays another 6 weeks like this he will be the right centre for NSW..forget Hayne!

Love him!! It’s up to him now.. he’s proved me wrong already...
Improved his defence, Hunt seems to have helped him a lot. Now he needs to develop a good passing game and learn how to setup his winger and fullback. Right now he tries to do it all himself and rarely passes the ball.

Believe me, it's situational. He can draw and pass. He backs himself and is one of the most damaging right centres in the game.

He is a strong runner of the ball close to the line. He has good front on defence. That is about it. I was happy with his performance tonight, but nothing different from his highlights reel on Youtube. I was surprised to see him run down the Cronulla winger. He is wearing the St George jersey and I want to see him play well, but I still do not believe that he is a centre.

Contrary to Phil Gould's comment that Dufty doesn't have a good passing game. Dufty actually has a good passing game, but doesn't seem to be able to connect with his centres.

I would have Teddy at fullback for NSW. Mansour and Roberts the wingers. Tom Turbo and Latrell Mitchell centres. Next centre in line would be Bird, then Roberts(I would have to find another winger), then Walker. The selectors would most likely pick Dugan ahead of Aitken too. He is the Australian incumbent.

Obviously a big fan of Euie. Good to see him injury free.
I have no problem eating humble pie about Aitken. I was of the belief if he didn’t get off to a flying start he had to make way for Mann. So happy to be proven wrong at this stage.
I’m one who isnt too fussed about a passing game from him & think he is better served as a bustling centre. Leave the trick shots to Lafai(who had a good game).

Aitken had a great second half last night.
Made a try saving tackle on Dugan in the corner.
Scored a great try in the corner using speed and strength.
Ran Feki down from behind to stop a certain try.
If he continues to play like that then we will have a good year down that right hand side.
Its great to see him play to his potential.

How good is he going atm? I can't believe the improvement so far, he wasn't even in my 17 at the beginning of the year. His lateral defence/decision making seems to have improved alot. Needs to be tested more against top opposition sides obviously but I'm loving it atm.

Love being proven wrong from time to time, well done champ. Keep it up.

He is a star and good to see him play injury free. Was good in the juniors and now that form is coming into the top grade.

Only fans that bag him are Dragons fans, all other people I speak to who support other teams think he is a gun.

Happy to pre-heat the oven, but not going to eat humble pie until I see how he goes against a team who knows what they are doing in attack. Good to see improvement.
Yeah I know Broncos and Sharks are mid table teams struggling to attack!! Shit attacking centres like James Roberts, some guy called DUGAN who is the incumbent AUSTRALIAN Centre and some shitty backline players like Moylan, Boyd, Oates, Milford all average players !!
Get off your high horse and give credit where credit is due and stop looking for negative excuses.. Sharks and Broncos are 2 very very good teams and Aitken to all of our surprise has delivered beyond expectation - congratulate the coaching staff for sticking w him..

Ask the fans of other clubs, how many times they have seen Aitken pass the ball?

First of all, even if everything you just said was true once, it (like all your other ‘mail’) automatically becomes a false rumour as soon as you say it! So poor choices there.

Roberts played on the right and smoked Lafai. Aitken was up against Kahu (lol) and Letele (also lol) so hardy a challenge. But more to the point, it’s the structures. Sharks and Broncos barely put on an attacking play (there were a few where the right side were caught out against Broncos) but I’m more concerned about him coming up against a coach with half a brain who targets him like they did last year.

It’s obvious to improve. But I’m not going to get his name tattooed on my chest just yet.

Where are all the euan Aitken detractors and haters now that his been talked about for state of origin? The kid was always a gun player just needed time to develop now all the dragons need is to replace nightingale and lafai with lomax and Mann

This passing game thing is so played out. Obviously it helps to be good at it but passing for a centre is not as important as it used to be. It is far more important to be a strong runner and Aitken is one of the strongest ones going around. The fullbacks and halves are the ones that need to have a quality passing game.
