Anyone else watching it?

I've watched some of the semis, final is on tomorrow on SBS.

Well I missed a fair bit. Sometimes don't mind a few of the acts that are on there.
Any good ones this year?
I usually have a soft spot for Finland, they usually can pull something to my likings.

It's a good perve, and Wogan's commentary is legendary. Though it seems that even he's starting to get the sh*ts with it all going by some of his comments last night.

Zero redeeming factors apart from those though.

Rigged/bloc voting, formulaic songs, it's Idol x 100.

And since when has Israel been part of Europe?

It was interesting. I thought Ireland were dudded, the animatronic turkey was clearly the best singer of them all!

And how could you not love the Latvian pirates or the Azerbaijani angels?

That Greek singer was very...slinky.

The blonde from Germany's answer to the Spice Girls was a stunner, as was the girl from Iceland.

My fave this year was the Maltese singer though. Firecracker!

I usually don't mind what Finland has to offer, although I missed theirs this year, they polled fourth last in the final, but it is opinion.

Still agree totally with Skeepe, those pirates were insane. Theme with some humour and not too bad a song.

I didn't miss a second of all three nights this year, and haven't in the last few years. I thought Russia, besides being piss-funny with that figure skater, sucked. Greece probably should have won.

My allegiance is to Ireland and the Scandinavian countries, so was disappointed none of them were up the top, although Norway seemed to poll quite a few votes. Finland was great I thought; really liked that song. Azerbaijan were surprisingly good, and Latvia was gold but got boring pretty quickly.

In regards to Israel, I don't think they should be in it at all, but they've been in it for 50 odd years I believe... Maybe because so many Europeans were sent to Israel after WWII they let them compete. I dunno?

I thought Denmark was a decent shot and the Pirates should have gone closer. I also thought the Frog was pretty good (reminded me of the High Llamas).
