Does he stay or go ?

Australia rugby boss Bill Pulver has given his support to besieged Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie before this weekend's Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks.

Pulver was responding to reports that a coaching change may be imminent in the turmoil around the Kurtley Beale texting scandal.

"I can confirm the ARU (Australian Rugby Union) has not had any conversations with any other coaches regarding the Wallabies coaching position," Pulver said.

"Ewen is coaching the team this weekend and next Friday he will board the plane with the team for the spring (European) tour, and is contracted to Australian Rugby to lead the Wallabies to next year's Rugby World Cup."

I tend to agree, he's the best option atm and he did the right thing with Beale despite his team mates sticking up for him.

How can you not know what 'Full support of the board' means?

I still can't figure out exactly what it is he did? Sounds like a bunch of whinging piss ant players and a weak board getting ready to knife the coach.

Even if he rooted Patson, from a players perspective, so f**king what?

A losing side sometimes wants to blame anyone but themselves.

A lot of truth in that Badsport.

But when I read about the integrity manager, business manager, high perfomance manager - the list seems endless and then hear Mckenzie talk in corporate speak I realised that the Wallabies are being run by a bureaucrat. Like a public sector organisation.

Then to hear that the team manager had a tantrum and f**ked up preparation for a test match, and the coach bails out on the team on the day of the test - I've had enough. I've heard enough.

Priorities are all wrong. Time for a leader to get involved and set things up right. No more devolved responsibilities, no more management by committee. No more bullshit.

He's always been like that. Maybe ur right that sort of dribble doesn't cut it when you're losing.

Still this entire thing is the beat up of all beat ups. Almost as shocking as players going to hungry jacks after bedtime. I don't get it.

How much would the payout be if they decided to sack him, if any? I can't help but think this is one factor seriously weighing on the ARU, they just can't afford to throw away a couple of hundred gs.

Wow just seeing his coaching record at the Wallabies made me realise how bad the team has been lately. 11 wins, 1 Draw & 10 losses. Be interesting to see how they go on the europe tour just to see how bad it really is.
