Wasn't his nick name during his playing days something along the lines of Mr Reliable?

Guess that needs to be reviewed.
Surprised at this one honestly

I'll be interested to see what Koopu actually did. The reality is anyone with a bit of spare cash and an active social life is either doing recreational drugs (MDMA, coke etc) or they're just not doing them cos it's not their vice of choice. I struggle to see it as an ethical/criminal issue really. If he's just the bloke who does the donkey work to get some gear for his mates then I really couldn't GAF. Different story if he's genuinely got commercial levels for supply or he's mobbed up or if he's selling P or heroin or something.

And yes, I realise that on some level these drugs are pretty much all emerging out of gangs and international cartels and it's all horrible stuff. I just struggle to blame the average punter who loves a pinger for a situation created by decades of bad law/policy.

Karl Lawton played second row for the MacKay Cutters

Leivaha Pulu played off the bench for the Brisbane Tigers

No idea. Stats didn't look impressive or unimpressive. Not even sure where he was playing. Is he a second rower now? Titans still list him as a winger
I dunno... almost feel bad saying this but I didnt even know the big fella was still in Aus, I thought he'd gone to the ESL.

he left us for a fat tigers contract if memory serves. They then shipped him to the titans who have been trying to get him off the books, but he is rightly entitled to that contract money so I think he stood firm to stay in Qld rather than go overseas, thats my vague memory of it

That's the one I was trying to remember the other day. For a little while, circa '17/18, we had our very own 'hair bears' and they were good. Both came from the Titans. The other was a prop.

Like any workplace, when someone, it moves on real quick.

Yea I remember the moves that landed him at the Titans eventually, but thought I heard he'd been given permission to look elsewhere last year or something. So thought he'd made the move to ESL when he didnt pop up in another jersey. Didnt realise he was just plugging away in Q Cup.

Maumalo did end up at the Tigers, that much is true, but where your memory slips are in thinking he wanted to leave the Warriors for the money.

I still vividly remember his final game in our colours. He was overcome with emotion, crying his heart out as his teammates tried to console him. It was clear as day he didn’t want to go. That exit wasn’t on his terms.

Struggling to remember how he was playing at the time.... were his knees shot back then?

Big Ken had his limitations - turning circle of an airship for starters - but man he could start a set. His yardage carries were massive.

I recall a lot of criticism here in general, for him not being a winger etc... Guess ultimately that wasn't wrong
