Ok, sorry for the delay.

What I need is people that are interested in helping to email me on [email protected].

We have been in touch with most NRL clubs, and League Clubs to gain support and things are progressing well.

This idea all steams from a post on the MSSC forum and my reply to that post.

What the idea is that we get all groups involved in the game of League (at all levels) to gain over 1 Million signatures Australia wide to let the NRL, ARL, NSWRL, QRL, CRL and anyothers that with the negoitations coming up for broadcasting rights they have to consider all supporters of the game and not just in Sydney or Brisbane.

This means Country NSW, Country Qld, Victoria, WA, SA and Tas.

The AFL WILL be targeting these areas in their next agreement and as the AFL's agreements isn't until 2007 we should be able to get a better agreement.

The figures show the more people watch League when it is available to them at a decent time, so it is up to us the supporters of League to do something about it.

The timing of this campaign is to run through until after the Grand Final, this will allow us to get to all League supporters.

The Free To Air tv contract expires at the end of the 2007 season. This is part of the attraction of possibly holding a Rugby League World Cup in Australia in 2008, plus it co-incides with 100 years since RL started in this country.

There you go. With both NRL and AFL broadcast contracts expiring at the same time, the NRL had better have a really good marketing team to sell the rights to the stations.

Sorry this is taking longer than expected.

I am continuing to be in touch with other supporter groups and clubs to build on this.

I have also been trying for the past 2 months to meet with the MSSC to provide a brief to them and to see if they wanted to be involved. But it seems that some members of the board are interested in supportering the club or the game as they can't even come up with a date to get together to meet.

Is it any wonder people don't go to their site or want to become involved or sit with them.

I will pm those who have put their hands up so I can get the documents I have put together to you, from there you can let me know what you think. I have meetings with 4 clubs and 3 supporter groups in Sydney over the next 4 weeks and will keep people informed.

On the issue of the TV renewals, Pay Tv rights are up at the end of 06 and free to air 07. The AFL's on the other hand are up at the end 08 so we should be able to have a better effect on the outcome.

If those Storm people going to the game on Sunday want to have a chat before or after the game let me know. I'm the one with the cowbell and drum. Oh I'll be in a blue and yellow t-shirt with a very interesting logo on the front

What is this programme aiming at doing. Why is it so big and different from anything else?

It wont be that different from some other things that have been done in the past. What will be different is the coordination of it and that it is targeting all League followers.
