Expressions of interest for Brisbane F7's Team ?

I have committed to the Parramatta Eels F7's team for 2005 though would be interested in how many existing members would be interested in being part of a debut team to represent Brisbane in 2005 ?

Correct me if I am wrong, but a team of 7 would be the minimum needed...

Hypothetically, let's say I put my hand up for a position, is there 6 more guys or girls interested ?

Cheers

p.s. What is the cut off period to nominate a team Willow ?

Broncodroid, I think it would be great to see a Broncos F7s team.
Just so you know the drill, only teams which are issued with an invitation will compete on the 2005 season. Naturally, teams who did well in 2004 are already penciled in.

The main criteria is that we want to see teams which are well managed and look like they can field 5 players, plus 2 reserves each round.

Over 10 or more rounds, this will require a squad of committed players. The team squads are capped at 15 players. It is difficult (but not impossible) to compete for a whole season with a squad of less than 10 players.

In order to expand the F7s, we will be having a 'Possibles v Probables' tournament in November. This is in effect a series of trials, and will be open to all comers... and you're invited to be part of it.

Players from any current team may join but keep in mind that it looks better when you are recruiting what looks like a stable squad.

The aim of of this is give new teams a chance to form. The winner of the PvP doesn't neccessarily guarantee an invitation into the 2005 F7s competition (although it obviously helps). Invitations will be issued based on those teams who seem to have their act together.

In 2005, we aim at seeing all 10 posts (5 v 5) in every game with 2 other players in reserve. If you look like you are a good chance of playing at that level, you'll be issued an invitation.

Cheers Willow...see how we go ;-)

I want to make it clear, this is not simply an all Brisbane supporter type concept, I am just looking to get the Bronco's represented. Any Roosters fans looking for a start ? Seeing as though both clubs have at times owned the "most hated team" title in the competition at times, how about combining ? Bondiville Bronco's perhaps ?

Team Captains, I ask, out of the goodness of your F7's heart, if your loaded and looking to free up some roster room, point willing players in the direction of this thread for a start.

Thanks in advance guys and girls...

I'm already with the Panthers for 2005, I wouldn't mind seeing a Bronco's team up in the near future. Maybe we should try and organise something for 2006?

Look, I feel we may have left this way too late considering we need 10 members at least to run successfully plus we have to receive an invitation...I am leaning towards competiting my rookie season with Parra Eels and then looking at the concept from there onwards.

See how we go...never say never as they say.

You've got plenty of time mate.
Competition won't start until Match 2005.
The PvPs are just so we can see if you're having a go and are making progress.
