f**k OFF. 4 Nations - only 2 Sharks. Fifita not considered

Possibly a salutory lesson if Fifita learns to not stir the pot. He was convicted, drawn and quartered in the court of public opinion and that's the only thing that matters these days. The rights and wrongs of it all are wholly irrelevant.

In relation to consorting the NRL would not know if there was an investigation I would imagine. The police have warned him, so to commit the offence of consorting he'd have to: consorts with at least 2 convicted offenders (whether on the same or separate occasions), AND consorts with each convicted offender on at least 2 occasions.
I dont like the consorting rules but his tribute to the murderer is misguidedand prima facie offensive not just to the kelly's but to all victims of crime in nsw. He needs to meet the kelly's and they can take him through thier insights on losing a son and brother. Theres nothing cool and heroic about it. After he apologises and means it, he should be given a chance to redeem and be respected. He wouldnt like someone killing another in his family. Fifi needs insight, guidance and maybe, forgiveness. Hes only a kid himself.

I find it funny that meninga and co have said that they are picking the team for the future yet they didnt select - tedesco, gagai, graham, munster or at least one of the trbojevics.

Is it just me or is ferguson up there for most overated in the game - he was woeful at times this year for the roosters - had a poor origin series and still gets selected for Australia.

Dugan was injured for large chunks of the year yet they select him to cover centre which is out of position and there was better options - leulia would have missed a couple of training sessions but could have been right for the first test in a fortnight. Will chambers was arguably one of melbournes best in the grand final but he misses out.

Boyd basically gets Fifitas spot but is picked because of his size not because of talent - he had his best year but ryan james had a better year.

I dont like the balance of the team at all and think we are going to find it hard to take the four nations title from new zealand.

Not only that but there is going to a big hole at hooker soon - if they dont find someone to fill the void when smith retires.

Public support for a convicted murderer is not the best idea young andrew had. Neither was tormenting a frightened teenage ref at penrith

If my mate kills someone like that bloke did, hes not going to be my mate anymore.

Andrew is a bit immature and ignorant. Needs support and counselling.

Once hes reformed, then he can play for the roos.

How do you know, you haven't been put in that position.

I understand his non-selection for the Kangaroos but how can they deny him the Clive Churchill when he was undeniably the best player on the field & scored an amazing match-winning try.

After seeing him being interviewed after the game I have confidence he would have done everyone proud.

If he doesn't score that try I don't think we win.

We were out on our feet and looking a bit busted.

I will always remember him as the guy that put a super human effort in to give us a chance again of winning the Premiership.

We need him running out wide close to the line next year. He is so bloody strong and awkward to tackle.

Can't understand the pro NZ Stuff. They have a far inferior squad , including players who would struggle to make a lot of NRL teams. Nightingale, Leuluai? Captain Mannering is truly from Dad's Army and they finally realise Hargreaves should be in the squad after he comes off his most ineffective season in years. Luke had a poor year and Scheck injured. Shawn Johnson hugely inconsistent.

Aussie squad much better. Wade is the unlucky one IMO. Bird no stronger case than Leilua or Chambers. Fifita cost himself a spot.

I just think society as a whole has become very precious.
Its everywhere, and bought up when it suits agendas.

Imagine if Tim Cahill made handcuff signal after scoring for Everton in support of his brother who was arrested for manslaughter after an assault.

Prob a non event.

Australia had a better squad than NZ last four nations and lost to them in the final - Having the best squad is one thing - who plays the best as a team is another.

How do you know, you haven't been put in that position.

Instinct, self-respect and a desire for a better, safer and more caring community for everyone.

And just perhaps I know more "villians and rogues" than the young and tragically misguided Fifi.

Hes learned a tough lesson and the fact that he was an "easy target" is not lost on me either.

After counselling rehab, some dues to the kelly's etc, I say he should be welcomed back.

Rehabilitation for what?
Council long for what?
Is meninga also obliged to do services for the family victims of the girl his brother raped and murdered and he then publicly I supported?

I certainly lost interest in the Four Nations after hearing about this. I didn't realise Greenberg's job description included Test selector. I suppose he has to be seen to do something around here.

Fifita was phenomenal in the GF. No other player in the NRL could have scored that try against the best ruck defence in the competition.

And on that note, congratulations on the Premiership. I still remember watching Dragons win the 2010 Premiership (the first in my lifetime) after so many years of heartache. One of the greatest memories of my life. Enjoy the feeling guys.

I watched the presser again. I'm of the belief, from body language, eyes up contact etc that Meaning isn't really on board with all this. It's hard to think any decision on Fifita from the NRL wouldn't of been made well before the selection deadline and told to the selectors and coach. My gut feeling is he WAS selected and then the NRL knee jerked, postponed the announcement and sat up all night debating it.

It really doesn't ring true

The simple answer is always the easiest
They simply decided to.ignore it as an issue and avoid any issue by not selecting on merit
Seven weeks ago the prospect of a fifita chuchill medal would have seemed pretty remote
The fly in the ointment Fifita being the outstanding forward.of the entire finals.series making his omission on merit look silly
So they gritted their teeth and came up with this

In hindsight I bet they wished they dealt with it at the time

I have some sympathy for them though as the disastrously rushed.pearce penalty would have made them reluctant to repeat that rushing mistake again

Frenzy.

Looking at the side again O'Neil is the only genuine centre in the squad. Full of blokes who "can" play centre.
