Fitzy usually had metres gained in the minus, with the amount of backward running he did.

My favourite memory of Fitzy is him going up to catch a bomb and he headbutted it about 20 metres into the crowd.

NRL Premiership winner Daniel Fitzhenry is set to return to the NRL with former club Wests when his current deal at Hull KR is up at the end of the season. Fitzhenry made 119 appearances for the Tigers before moving to Hull KR at the beginning of the 2008 season. The winger, who has also featured at hooker and full back for the Rovers, has made 43 Super League appearances, scoring 13 tries.

The Australian magazine Rugby League Week claims that Wests Tigers have signed Wigan loose forward Mark Flanagan, who is out of contract with the Warriors at the end of the season. Last Tackle reported last week that Flanagan was planning to move down under to the NRL, and it seems Wests have won the chase for his signature.

fitzhenry and ryan are actually vastly different players.

ryan is more of a solid winger. he isnt really good at anything and his lack of speed has cost us more then a few tries. he is usually reasonably solid defensivley and dosent make many mistakes from kicks.

fitzhenry on the other hand can be absolutely diabolical. he has at least one horrible mistake in him every game. is terrible under the high ball and defensivley beyond poor. however every now and again he would pull a brilliant play our of his arse when you least expected it. unfortunately they were too and far between.

id still take ryan any day.

Not sure how his game has progressed during the stint in the UK but if he has developed his "front on" defence he could be an interesting super-sub replacement for JoMo (BUT NOT IN THE HALVES!!!). Similar build and Fitzy was always a 'tard winger but had really powerful thighs/hips. I'd be interested to see video of him at hooker in the UK.
