Fa'aoso joins Melbourne Storm

Good old Newie eh. This place has had so many ex players fall in love with the joint and call it home. Brett Mullins, Brett Hetherington, Craig Smith, Russell Richardson and Mal Reilly to name a few. Looks like Richie has done the same. Great to hear and who is to say he won't wear the Red and Blue again. I am still torn on this bloke leaving but I want him to succeed even if it is at two clubs who set the benchmark for the last decade and into this one.

A lot of class shown from Richie there. Will miss him, but as he said himself, he missed the boat this year. Good luck to him, unlike the turncoat, I'd be happy to see him win big with Melbourne this year.

Well, the guy is down there 3 months and wins himself a Premiership ring. Shades of Clint Newton.

But congrats to the big guy.

The one good thing to come out of the Storm Salary Cap drama - Newton didn't win himself a premiership :)

I think all knights fans would be happy for Richie, the guy was a good clubman, and always ran the ball as hard as he could. Also never said a bad word about the club

Richie is nothing like that f**kbag Newton

Good on him. Stoked for the bloke

Yep, only thing they have in common is mid-season team swap and GF win.

Difference is Richie left the club as positive as possible, and won a premiership.

Good on him. Couldnt happen to a better bloke.

:( It's a shame, he loved the place, just purchased a house family was settled. Good move for him on field though, he'll probably go close to winning a premiership now

Pretty damn close with this call haffa.

Just a shame he is leaving to the manly scum next year

I find it funny that a storm supporter calls Manly scum. Your club ruined the comp for, what, 5 years? That is the real scum club. Congrats on the win though, finally earned another legit one.

While I'm sure he's happy to win the premiership, it probably was a bit hollow as he didn't spend the entire season with his team mates. No chance to build up a strong bond which makes winning the title more rewarding.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind all that much lol.

He has a real good chance to win it next year with Manly as well. So happy to see him do well!!

Umm it's gonna be difficult for Manly to win the premiership when we already got it in the bag.

Amirite?

Bit too much love for ritchie. Guess it was the kamikaze running style that he chose to use once every 4 hit ups? He was a slightly less lazy version of Kaufusi. He never put in week in, week out. Heck he rarely ever put in for his entire 30 minute stints.

Couldn't care less if he went on to win 5 premierships elsewhere - been a nice but lazy guy isn't enough to become an 'old boy'

Dude lets not clog up this forum.

But I was a bears fan before I was a storm fan. manly will always be scum to me (the club mainly, not so much the player bar a few)
