Fail League

Whilst bad trades will happen, the amount of activity in the past 24 - 48 hours is just ridiculous. Maybe it's sour grapes, who knows. I just can't see this league being entertaining this year considering how many fire sales have taken place already, a month before the real action starts. What will happen 3 weeks into the season? Will we see Chris Paul traded for Luke Ridnour & Bobby Simmons?

And it's not just the top two picks either. Out of the top 10 (and off the top of my head), we've seen Paul, James, Nowitzki, Gasol, Stoudemire & Durant traded. And in a few of those cases, it's questionable that the team getting one of those studs gave up anything of any value to get them - unless you count the stiff that is Ben Wallace, yes the same Ben Wallace that contemplated retirement a month ago.

MC - I agree all you can do is make an offer, and at no stage have I blamed anybody for taking advantage, nor accused anyone of cheating. But this will take a lot of the fun out this year, which is a shame because last year was extremely enjoyable.

I think that if you don't know for sure that someone is double-managing, and you're proved to be wrong, you should be forced to give your best player to the Obi Wan Ki-Homies. Does anyone disagree with this? Can we make it fantasy legislature?

I've never labelled you a fraud buddy. Quite the opposite. And I don't think Ridders has two teams either. You're both victims of circumstance unfortunately. From my perspective, it's going to be bloody tough to compete, I'm still going to give it a shot though!

but here's the facts:

Some guy... who no one knows... who read the NBA sub -forum... on an NRL site...without even being a member... happens upon a fantasy nba thread and says.... "f**k it ill join"...then makes a series of ridiculous trades...two of which go to the same team...

just saying... i do believe that Ridders and MC are the most active in the league... and i do believe that if anyone was to jump on some lunatic offloading his team it would be these guys.... its just hard to swallow that there is someone out there dumb enough to join a fantasy league and make dumb moves...

...anyway still gona win this years comp anyway

The LU league is the only place where I play serious NBA fantasy. I only started playing last year, but i've thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. I have no problem with people bitching about my moves. Hell if I was in other people's position, I'd do the exact same thing.

However, I would never ever directly accuse someone of trying to cheat in a fantasy league of all things, and to get accused of it seriously annoys me. Kinda sucks out the fun really.

Like I already said, you guys need to roll with it. Should there be a veto option? Sure, but its too late now. Maybe I started this with the LeBron trade, but I dont care, I got the better end of the deal and I have the best team in the league imo.

Ok, if this Portland chump doesn't get booted out of the league immediately, I'm going to just trade all my good players to someone elses team and mail it in for the year. He just traded Paul, Young and O'Neal to Vin Baker Allstars for Roy, Gordon and Warwick. All within less than 12 hours of getting Paul.

I'm over it. Who wants my guys?
