Finally entered the trade party: shipped off Brand/Love/Hamilton to Chris Paulstars in return for Davis/Redd. Wasn't in love with the idea of packaging two destined 20/10 guys (Brand and Love) but I needed to give myself a chance to win some 3PT/AST weeks. Now I have a more balanced team, managing to bring in some scorers without breaking up my Howard-Okafor-Andersen duo down low.

Loving the idea of throwing out Gilbert, Baron, Redd and Salmons in the backcourt with Howard, Okafor, Gay and the Birdman holding down the fort inside. That'll pretty much wrap me up until the season gets underway I think.

I think Chris Paulstars definitely got the better end of that deal by a large margin, but it does make your team well balanced. Guess it worked out for both of you.

- Macquarie Raiders gets Monta Ellis and Gerald Wallace in exchange for Paul Pierce and Richard Jefferson who are off to Something Basic. On face value it's a fair deal. Good both ways...

- I get Jeff Green and Chris Duhon in exhange for Corey Maggette and Courtney Lee, who are headed to Something Basic. Works for both of us...

Something Basic basically overhauled his roster over the course of one night. Paul Pierce, Richard Jefferson, Corey Maggette, Courtney Lee FOR Monta Ellis, Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green, Chris Duhon...Looking at it that way, i think SB did well...

That might require you to ease up on your trade demands a little ;-)

For example, I would consider doing that for Okafor. But not my number one (and fifth overall) pick of the draft...

Huge trade for me imo. Garcia had his chance last season with Martin being injured and he couldn't improve his numbers. RJ is going to be a focal point of the Spurs offense with a lot better players around him, I can easily see him with a 20-5-5 line with good percentages, not to mention he started to shoot more from 3 point range last season.

Nice of you to talk up RJ before shipping him off again....!

If Jefferson averages 20 with TD, Manu, Parker not to mention McD & all the other shooters the Spurs will trot out I'd be staggered. His points will drop to around the 15 mark (best case scenario), rebounds will probably dip alongside TD & McD....however I suspect his 3s & overall %s will improve. Given I'm stacked with 3s, and Garcia can shoot as well, it's a good trade. Garcia has guard eligibility, blocks above average for a guard and was battling injuries most of last year. I really wanted him so I would have given up more to get him than just RJ so I'm happy.

Yeah, you'd definitely want to add other pieces.....straight up swap isn't going to happen!

Straight up probably not, although Bosh is a bit disappointing. I mean he rebounds at nearly the same rate at Jamison, scores only slightly more and has no 3 pointers whatsoever.
