Isnt James Hardie just the name behind the manufacturer of the products that contained asbestos though?
Its like someone taking the company I work for to court when it was a product made by someone else. We are the face in the public eye that people can associate bad press with etc.

Not saying in any way shape or form that James Hardie had no responsbility though, please dont read that into what I have said.

As far as I understand James Hardie WAS the manufacturer ,not just the public face.

James Hardie were the Manufacturer. They were also the seller to most places, especially the building industry (hence the eels sponsorship). It might be in divisions, as in manufacture and sales but still is reported under the same company.

I am sure Burnie would have been proud to see that logo on the Jersey. As I know some other people that worked their that have now passed on that were proud about it.
