not surprised at the tigpies absolutely killing us fan relations.

working the tigpies games at telstranz stadium last year and we see how they make each game a really big event and how much they give back to the fans

what was on display yesterday is a fair indication of the gap between the tigpies and the eels when it comes to a match experience. and i'm talking the whole box and dice - prematch, half-time entertainment and (wait for it...) after match function.

last year the tigpies recorded the highest average crowd of all the nsw teams.
what's amazing is that they failed to make the finals.

yesterday was a real eye openner for many of the parramatta fans.
because suddenly, they saw just what the other clubs and players do for their fans and the stark reality of how short changed they have have been by the parramatta club.

St George were another club who went to great lengths. They had their cheergirls there (as did tigers) who walked around mingling with the crowd and handing out promotional gear for their clubs. St George and Souths also had face painters their for the kids. On the day, it was just the little extras that made the huge difference

I was there. There were alot of Parra fans there, probably just as many as any other club but the Tigers and Rabbitohs probably pipped us there. But the club was absolutly poor the whole day. Cayless was the only player that was signing autographs that was a perminant Eels first grader. The club should be ashamed as the line up for autographs was huge. We even got banned from taking photos with the players, dont know if it was the same with other clubs.

As previously stated, some of this should go into the report MITS.
Even if it's just a printed copy of some of the posts in this thread.

I don't care whether some people of note read this board, some of these complaints have been being aired for yonks, but nothing seems to ever change.

Seriously, oh how I would love to have two men on board like Russell Crowe and Peter Holmes a Court. It is obvious that they are the type of people who want to make things happen.
I can't help but think that Denis and his cronies are from the "George Piggins School of Marketing"

Oh I didnt realise they werent already named. I have no dramas in naming them. It'll be no secret coz they wont be in the photo

Eric Grothe Jnr (suprise, suprise). Everyone knows on a personal level I have alot of time for Eric, but for one day he just had to show some loyalty to this club and he chose not to. That saddens me.
Tim Smith. Dunno his reasonings so i wont comment there
Luke Burt and Ben Smith - Again, major dissapointments for me there. I thought they had more respect for the club and its fans. But again, maybe the above 3 had legitimate reasons for leaving so I will hold back til I find out otherwise.
I am suprised and dissapointed to here this was the case Im not suprised in regards to T. Smith as I have said before comes across as very arrogant and dopey, but am a little suprised in Grothe, Ben, and Burt ,as they have always given me the impression they have a lot of time for the fans, interesting and very poor form on their part, official should show a little bottle and tell them how it is, as we know won't happen.

Ben, tim and luke are all recovering from off season surgey maybe that had a physio session.

I don't think the players leaving is the big issue here. It's sure a part of it but I'm sure the club will have a reason for that.
It's more the expose of our club that is important, and that seems to have been poor.
