Farah and Sheens fallout on England tour splits the Tigers

As much as I would love to see it hit the fan at the Tigers - it was in The DT so there is probably no truth to it at all. That paper just makes things up but having said that D. Weidler from channel nine will probably run an 'exclusive' on the story tonight. The DT and Weidler are a match made in heaven - both with absolutely no clue!!

What a nothing story and typical rubbish from the DT. If its not Rothfield it's Ritchie, if it's not him it's that hack Webster.

I'm sure Farah was very disappointed at not playing, he is a very competitive person and would have been filthy at not getting a go but to suggest he would leave the club over it is a f**king sick joke.

How often would a player have a disagreement with a coach? Just because you work with someone doesn't mean you don't have arguments, FFS.

In all honesty how disappointed would Farrah really be about his amount of game time? No one at the moment is going to knock a fit Cameron Smith out of any rep team. Farrah has not even made SOO teams recently, so to actually get picked to go overseas on a Kangaroo tour - you would think he would be happy with just going given the circumstances because if anyone else but his club coach was coach the Kangaroos he probably would not have even got a look in.

Statement from Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers wish to make a statement on behalf of Club Captain Robbie Farah in response to media reports regarding his relationship with Head Coach Tim Sheens.

Reports suggested that Farah became irritated when overlooked for Test selection during the recent Four Nations tournament.
“Regrettably the reports create a totally false impression of things. I had prepared all week to play in the Test match against England and was very excited by the prospect of playing in a big Test match at Wembley Stadium. When plans changed late in the week and Tim told me that I would not be taking my place in the side, I was understandably disappointed as any player would be.’’ Farah said.

“That said, I totally accepted Tim’s decision. To now suggest that I would be seeking to leave the Club that I love is just ridiculous and unfounded.
“Tim has been my coach since I came into first grade in 2003 and whilst we agree to disagree on things from time to time, our working relationship has never been adversely affected.

“I am totally committed to my team-mates who I am extremely tight with. I can assure all Wests Tigers fans that we will all be working hard to ensure a successful season in 2012 and beyond.”

It'll be interesting to see if Sheens continues his role as Australian coach. This probably highlights why it's best if club coaches aren't also rep coaches.

I don't buy the "if Sheens wasn't coach he wouldn't have got picked" line. As I see it he is the second best hooker behind Smith and there is always a back-up hooker chosen in a Aus side.

Farah is over competitive and probably overreacted at not playing, which is his fault. He is never going to get picked ahead of Smith and rarely will you go into an international match with two hookers in the side, especially both who play 80 minutes.

The Daily Telegraph's sports journalists Tyson Otto, Dean Ritchie, Andrew Webster, and Phil Rothfield have been asked by Editor Gary Linnell to show cause why their employment should not be terminated as a result of a photograph being circulated around the publication's Surry Hills office.

The offending photograph was reportedly taken at the 2011 Daily Telegraph Christmas In July employee function and shows the foursome in the act of pleasuring a goat. A source who attended the function at the Powerhouse Museum Function Centre earlier this year has described how the intoxicated trio of Otto, Ritchie, & Webster were lured away from the function room to toilet by a sober Rothfield with goat in hand.

From there the situation degenerated and finally led to the goat being subjected to the debaucherous acts seen in the photograph. Otto, Ritchie, Webster, & Rothfield declined to comment when contacted today about this matter, with all four explaining that they had been instructed to make no comment by their respective lawyers.

The RSPCA & NSW Police are investigating the matter and charges are likely to be laid early next week.

The goat at the centre of the latest Daily Telegraph scandal.

It looks like Billy there borrowed the collar from Clover Moore.
Maybe the police should investigate any links.

Good on Farah for making that statement.

These f**kwits shouldn't be just allowed to make shit up. So Robbie spat his dummy over there. Seriously, this shit happens all the time. If they weren't so competitive they'd not be where they are in life. So these hacks hear that and then just sensationalise it.

f**k me. I hate the DT. So happy that Robbie came out and put that fat merkin in his place.

With everything he's going through with his family too. Richie et al are f**king leeches.

He probably over reatced a little but if what he says is true than its understandable.

Training all week with the impression that he would play only to be told at the last second he wont (regardless of circumstance) cuts deep, especially when the coach is your club coach, gets a little more on the personal side rather than 'business is business'
