A player can be over-rated, but still be an extremely good player. An example of this (in my opinion) is Andrew Johns. An absolutely terrific player, but just not quite as great as he was made out to be in the media. (Hence, over-rated.) I see Boxy`s point on this occasion. Although I don`t agree that Farrah is over-rated (not at club-level, anyway).

You're taking the piss, right?

wally lewis is a better example of an over-rated player, alot of his standing in the game was formed by depressed toads looking for a hero. a myth if you will.

he turned up for 3 games a season.

you should be able to cause if you are paying any of the spastics in your squad besides hayne, sandow or mannah more then $55k a year then your head office needs to be shot.

You're right, a "spastic" like Fui doesn't deserve anymore than $55,000 a year.... You stupid merkin.

Tigers troll fail.
I'm guessing Willie Tonga, Nathan Hindmarsh and Reni Maitua are "spastics" as well.
Ignoring that bit of idiocy, the Tigers signed nuffy Redfy and thinks Tonga is a spastic

I can't believe what I'm reading about johns.

Defended like a forward.

Second to none passing game.

Great long and short kicking game.

Strong enough to break the line.

Maybe his only fault was no explosive speed.

Easily the best player I have seen. A tough player, that commanded respect. No weakness in his game.

The only ????? I have over him, is the drug scandal. What role it played in his career, and who knows if he took any performance enhancing drugs.

My favorite aspect of Andrew John was the way he acted like a General on the field to his team mates.

I remember countless times Newcastle having to defend on their line set after set and you could see Johns barking orders for them to hold the opposition out for just one more set, then one more set, then another.

Then once they finally received possession again they would run it out of their end for Johns to kick it over the sideline to give the troops a breather and to reward them for their effort. He knew that the forwards were exhausted and that after such a barrage of attack that they deserved a rest.

You could even see him on the way to the scrum getting in his team mates ears and patting them on the back for their effort while en-stilling confidence in them for the next defensive play.

In my eyes that what I most enjoyed about Andrew Johns, the way he took control and looked out for his team mates on the field.

Oh and plus he was an awesome player :).

My favourite Andrew Johns moment was when he asked Tim Smith "Are you really the next Peter Sterling?"

Really? I thought it would have been when Smith schooled him in his record breaking game and Joey threw a hissy fit and refused to accept the match ball:lol::lol:

You're obsessed
