My favorite aspect of Andrew John was the way he acted like a General on the field to his team mates.
I remember countless times Newcastle having to defend on their line set after set and you could see Johns barking orders for them to hold the opposition out for just one more set, then one more set, then another.
Then once they finally received possession again they would run it out of their end for Johns to kick it over the sideline to give the troops a breather and to reward them for their effort. He knew that the forwards were exhausted and that after such a barrage of attack that they deserved a rest.
You could even see him on the way to the scrum getting in his team mates ears and patting them on the back for their effort while en-stilling confidence in them for the next defensive play.
In my eyes that what I most enjoyed about Andrew Johns, the way he took control and looked out for his team mates on the field.
Oh and plus he was an awesome player
