It was a semi final game. We were sitting in the players section and the whole crowd was giving it to him deluxe. He had a shocker of a game. Not sure what had been the start of it but I think he had been on the end of a few ref calls. He was pretty dirty as the game wore on....

My fondest memory was before the game when you were out in the middle of the arena with the JJ Gltenan shield as a volunteer and I kept dialling your number willing you to answer the phone.... Location joke I know but very funny at the time.

Who remembers the 05 game V Brisbane where we won it in an epic encounter to win the MP....

The party afterwards at the Rose and crown was insane, I'm sure Colonel, Suity, strider and twizzle remember it well and ole timers such as Macca, Belly and PJ Marshal were also in attendance..

Big big night..

The story didn't explain how the date went. Don't leave my hanging Bartman.
Suffice to say, this nervous 17yo kid had no idea to return the interest, which must have been very frustrating ... after a few dates that summer, the girl concerned met an army guy while both working at the Easter Show, and our paths didn't cross again until 15 years later (as a result of that Forum Sevens story, in fact).

Pretty sure this was when I got introduced to Joey Grima and I told him I traveled 1,000ks to see the game, he said you should come to Parra Stadium more often

Another few memories - though probably not top five material...

Michael Jackson Bad Tour 1987 - where he played on a stage on the south hill (I didn't attend)

Monday Night Football v North Sydney Bears played in abysmal weather and absolutey teeming rain so heavy you couldn't see the players on the field from the stands. Can't remember which year, but it feels like sometime between 1991-1995?

I remember driving past it when I first lived in Parramatta during my first two years living in Australia. Also the Parramata Pools where I learned to swim. I first got inside Parramata Stadium in 2014 when they played against the Panthers.

Atmosphere was electric and the fans were chill. Even though Penrith lost, the banter was not malicious and I ended up enjoying my time there.

2005 Round 18 vs the Dragons when Barrett starts a fight with PJ Marsh. During the blue McKinnon plays on and score. We win 40-14 with Ben Smith scoring 3.
Nice.

I remember a lot of these games vividly but typically whilst watching on Ch 9 from about 1000 km away.

Haha I was at that game. I remember both Barrett and Jason Ryles had shockers

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but that semi final game against the Bears was epic in the late 90s. The North Hill was going off!

I got to play twice during half time of first grade in the knock out comp in the early 90s as a 9 or 10 year old for 1 win and 1 draw. Undefeated at Parra Stadium!!

This ground got packed to the rafters for its first ever game, and now around half way through its useful life it is being pulled down. It was built to accommodate crowd expectations at the time it was built, with no allowance for the future. Hence a perfectly serviceable 30 year old facility is being demolished and rebuilt. What a waste of taxpayer money that could have been spent on grounds that really need it.

Was the beginning of the end though, we lost Hindy (knee) and Fui (trying to take Barnes's head off) and didn't see them again for the rest of the year.

The atmosphere went from electric to nothing when Hindy went off.......
