Kevin Gordon isn't even the fastest in his team. He might even be as far back as 4th quickest at the Titans now days.

He ain't this fast anymore, but in space G.I. at top speed would run away from his chasers.

What Roberts did to radradra late in the game was incredible, he has the acceleration but also maintains it

Many guys have brilliant acceleration but lose it after about 40m. Jennings and slater come to mind. Walker has close to the best acceleration now IMO. Haven't really seen him long distance though.

Chris Lawrence used to be the best at maintaining speed. Seen him leave Brett Morris And slated for dead whilst scoring long distance tries. Now Simon mannering out runs him

Hayne is very good at holding his speed. His athletics background would help him in the 100, especially with his technique.

Roberts is very quick, but i think its more over a 50-60m length, he would struggle for a full 100.

Pearce is the second fastest half back in the NRL. Shaun Johnson is the fastest. Shaun Johnson is probably top 5 fastest of all NRL players.

Johnson is fast, but not top 5... on what basis do you say Johnson is the second fastest #7? Johnson is quick, Kelly too... the rest have lead in their boots...

You haven't mentions Tomkins...

They are not in order of fastest, as it is poor athletic strategy to place all fastest athletes first. From what I have listed above; I gather the top 5 fastest teams to be the Raiders, the Titans, Souths, Warriors, Panthers and Storm.

Great post. Thanks for putting the time into it. I think the Titans would win by 20 meters. Would love to see the concept happen too. I remember they used to do something like this, but nobody took it seriously.

Morris ran down Johnson

Warriors would have Fishiahi in their team...

And, obviously Paul Gallen would run the anchor leg for the Sharks!

Roberts currently for me, honorable mentions to most said in here, Morris boys should be up there as well IMO.

Hiku and Foran
You've picked our two slowest backs.

Foran is sharp over about 9 metres.
Hiku has the nickname Sloth for a good reason.

Hayne ran around Gordon with ease for his try. Roberts is bloody quick

Semi could be a roughie
