I'd say Asotasi. He hits the ball at pace.

I remember that, on SBW's debut, but that was when Williams wasn't running full pelt, he was slowing up almost jogging if i remember correctly to wait for a support player and he managed to find Luke Patten. I remember that because it was Vella that SBW ran straight through.

Actually I think it was Jamie Lyon that Sonny-Bill ran straight through on that occasion - and he changed direction to bamboozle the fullback, had a clear run to the corner, and Vella came from nowhere to catch him.

Williams may well be quicker over 40metres, but I highly doubt that he would beat Michael Vella in a footrace over 100.

I also agree that Asotasi is quick - as are a number of props. But when we are talking about the fastest prop going round, it is ridiculous to even suggest another name aside from Vella or Learoyd-Lahrs (who is yet to really show his toe in a game).

I remember watching Dennis Scott score an 80 metre try some years ago, I think it was against the cowboys. Couldn't believe it at the time.

Vella seems to have some toe over 100m, not so sure about off the mark speed though, Asotasi is pretty quick over 40m.

You'll find Hutch Maiava ia quite fast over 100m.
Gallen is very quick over 40m.

Food for thought, the Kiwis could feild a test front row lineup of Asotasi, Chan, Paleaesina and Maiava. That would be a pretty strong and mobile combination!
