Learoyd-Lahrs was one of the fastest players at the Broncos last year wasn't he? Not just out of the props, out of all of them.

Mick Hodgson has just put up his hand, he is a 2nd rower/Prop and The Queanbeyan Leagues Club had pledged the money if Raiders forward Michael Hodgson could beat two Sydney-class racehorses – Little Shrek and Old Ma Jones - in a staged footrace. In which a photo finish revealed he just snuck home

The fund rasier was for ACT jockey Rey Silburn, who had a fall and is only given an 8% chance of ever walking again, he has a wife and 2 young children to support.

Also ACTTAB are donating $1 for every spectator who attends the Raiders-Cowboys match this week, so anyone in the Canberra area get out there!

I'd like to see a props relay or race on grand final day, like they have them for the quickest young fellas. Instead of a ribbon for the finish line, they could have a brick wall they need to run through.

so the bastards run about 400 metres, they are absolutely rat sh*t and then have to muster up enough energy to break through a brick wall... your a harsh man dodge

Tom Learoyd Lahrs is like the 2nd quickest forward over 40m in the NRL behind SBW I think.
He's quick enough to play in the centres but the only reason is isn't is because he's 115kg. I think they said he's got a 100m PB of 11.2sec, and he's always been very big.

Roy Asotasi is one of the quicker players at Canterbury I have read before, he has to be the "quickest" prop in the game.

P.S. Ryan O'Hara was a junior beach sprint champ who went to the National titles and won. He is not as quick as that anymore, though he has some natural speed for a big fella'.

Josh Perry followed by Paul Stringer would win for sure & Retired Corey Pearson would go close as well.

Oh, sorry........I thought you said Fattest!

From what I have seen in matches I would say:

Ieafeta
Vella
Topou

Would be the fastest.

Josh Perry is pretty fast. Second fastest in the knights team right behind Johns apparently... Perry's mum was a runner (and swimmer) back in her day and trained him how to run professionally.

If Andrew Johns is the fastest guy in the Knights team then it's no surprise they haven't won a game yet this year...

Maybe they should sign some guys who can sprint for next season....

As far as the fastest prop goes:

If it's not Mick Vella then it is nobody!! Tom Learoyd-Lahrs is quick, but I'm willing to put money on that 11.2s/ 100m being timed a couple of years ago...

Aquaduck - as far as Sonny Bill goes: watch the first game of last seasons premiership - SonnyBill makes a break, and Vella runs him down 5-10m out from the tryline.

And watch the Parramatta game against Manly from last year, Donald gets the ball with nobody in front just 10m out from his own line. He scores, but Vella almost keeps up with him the length of the field, and makes Donald put the ball down out wide.

And whoever said Morley.... oh dear!

Explains his lack of impact as a front rower.....

Tom was still rated one of the quickest in the broncos last year and he has trimmed down since then. He's always been a big guy anyway and he's only 19. I saw him at an AIS training camp when he was about 17 and he was still well over the 105 kg mark back then. I can't see him running 11.2 as a skinny 12 or 13 year old. He would've only got quicker since he was 15 or 16 not slower.

I remember that, on SBW's debut, but that was when Williams wasn't running full pelt, he was slowing up almost jogging if i remember correctly to wait for a support player and he managed to find Luke Patten. I remember that because it was Vella that SBW ran straight through.
