Some awesome films in the two lists. Stir Crazy, Weird Science and Any Which Way but Lose. Great memories from when I was a kid. Conan is IMHO Arnie’s best movie apart from the first two Terminator films.

Seems to be loose definitions of cult on this thread so I'll add to it with:

True Romance
Carlito's Way
Infernal Affairs
Big Trouble in Little China
Black Rain
Interesting fact about Black Rain, apart from being a great movie. The final scene in the Vinyard had to be filmed in a Vinyard in Northern California. Most of the film was done in Japan. Due to Japan’s very stringent gun laws, even a film production could not use automatic weapons that fired blanks. So Ridley Scott did the scene in Napa, California.

Vanishing Point
Two Lane Blacktop

There's two classic car movies that qualify as cult.

Christine
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
Duel - this seems like the first run at Jaws
Mad Max
Bullitt
Gone in 60 Seconds

I have no idea what 'defines' a cult movie or who is qualified to decide. Nor do I care quite frankly.

What I know is that certain 'underground' (you could say) movies like The Boys Next Door, Pin and Talk Radio used to turn up on late night network television once upon a time. That doesn't seem to happen any more which I think is a great shame.

TV networks used to take chances on screening these movies and you could watch without any advance knowledge of what you were getting into. The surprise element of finding a great, underappreciated film is long gone in the internet age.

At any rate, those three movies (of many, many more) are highly recommended from me, just don't look them up too much before viewing.
