Favourite 1 Song of All Time

I'm sure it's very hard for everyone.. but give me 1 all time favourite song. Just 1. And the reasons why.

It could take some time narrowing it down.

I'll kick off. Mine is Wish you were here by INCUBUS.

Reasons are musically it combines some heavy guitars, a nice acoustic guitar strum during the chorus and some hip hop scratching. Love the sound of it.

Also the lyrics are near perfection in describing a moment of bliss and the desire for the other person in your life to see it with you.

The Lyrics

I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds
Strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind
Pretend that I am weightless
And in this moment I am happy...happy

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here

I lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a backlit canopy
With holes punched in it
I'm counting UFOs
I signal them with my lighter
And in this moment I am happy...happy

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
Wish you were here

The world's a roller coaster
And I am not strapped in
Maybe I should hold with care
But my hands are busy in the air saying:

I wish you were here
I wish you were

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
Wish you were here

Good luck..

That's not even the best Incubus track!!!!

(My vote goes to Are You In)

But seriously, favourite track of all time?

I need some time to ponder this ...

My favourite track at this particular moment is Faith No More - As the Worm Turns (the Mike Patton version) but not of all time.

Thats a tough question, its something i consider time to time and find i have changed my opinion.
At the moment i guess i'd say Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots.

(oh and the best incubus song is easily pardon me )

Oooh, great choice.

I could list a heap of AIC songs that would be near the top of my list as well as Mad Season's 'River of Deceit'.

I just want to hear this song live. I've got tickets to see AiC but even though it won't be as good without Layne, it will be a freakin' life defining moment. No exaggeration.

BTW-I rate Mad Season's - LONG GONE DAY as my favourite MS song.

Shook Ones Part II by Mobb Deep

Although tbh, I generally zone out when Havoc's verse starts. I know it seems odd to pick holes in my favourite song of all time, but the start and the first verse are that damn good that the rest is a bit ho-hum.

Don't like youtoobing it btw as I don't like the video and reckon it kills the song.
