Current favourite is the classic ice cream sandwich or eskimo pie.
If it goes above 30 then I get a hankering for watermelon and pineapple frosty fruits.
As a baby I will always remember the ice cream man selling chocolate and banana paddle pops. Years later I found out my Dad had a tab with him for my brother and me.
Later I liked those rocket shaped multicoloured ice blocks that you got a special plastic stick in. Supposed to be able to build things with them apparently.
Then in my teen years lemon calippos were it during summer at high school.
As an adult an italian meal was not complete without a trip to the gelati store for some lemon/lime/chocolate gelati.
But my all time fave?
Behold the greatest invention evah! I found this a couple of years ago on a trip to Japan:
The Japanese Monaka style ice cream bar. That's wafer filled with chocolate and vanilla ice-cream.
Not too simple, not too complicated.
Clean, yummy and creamy. Ces't magnifique!
