Love the Benny Hill Show (mmm Hills Angels), but my favourite work of his is in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (The Toymaker) and The Italian Job (Prof. Peach).

I also loved Robert Helpmann as the Child Catcher in Chitty.

True story, the person who owns the unit downstairs from us was one of the relatives who received an inheritance when Benny passed away. He bought a property where he now lives in Coogee at the time. He still owns the unit downstairs which his niece rents, now.

Helpmann was truly brilliant. Gave me chills when I was a little tacker.
How close a relative was this neighbour. Had he ever spent any time with Benny?

I watched Chitty Chitty again not that long ago and Helpmann gave me the chills even then.

Our neighbour was one of his nephews but from what i know he never met Benny, our neighbour has another brother who works on our local council, think there is a sister also who lives in Australia. From what i can remember he said he remembered getting a letter after Benny had passed saying he was left a substantial amount of money.
