yeah, i actually wish we didnt beat bayern so bad, i was hoping our game would be a classic encounter and possibly steal the show of the glamour fixture (at least in australias eyes) liverpool vs chelsea. but not to be. I know what you mean about players from ur team going to scum clubs, i was praying that roni wouldnt go to england when there were rumors, and now im just glad hes playing for a respectable club like milan, although it does suck to lose him (even tho hes a shadow of what he was around 2005)

Congrats guys. I'm disappointed to have lost this morning, but I am also disappointed how Ballack and Drogba carried on.

Now, please finish the job and give Manure a touch-up.

Barcelona beat Man U to win Champions

BARCELONA stunned holders Manchester United to win their third Champions League crown with a 2-0 victory today.
Goals from star forwards Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi gave the Catalans a deserved victory and denied United from becoming the first team to retain the title since the European Cup became the Champions League in 1993. It gave the Spaniards a unique treble having already won their domestic league and cup and meant they repeated a feat United achieved in 1999, which Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson had then claimed would never be matched.

It crowned a marvellous debut season for his Barcelona counterpart Pep Guardiola, who at 38 becomes the youngest coach to take European club football's greatest prize. For Thierry Henry, it ended years of frustration after his then-team Arsenal lost to Barcelona in the 2006 final.

Great photos. Messi might have a second career as a high jumper looking at that!

Infact that photo of him in the air heading the goal is eerily similar to one of Ronaldo against Chelsea in last years final when he also leaped brilliantly to score.

Oh and Barca's kit is f**king beautiful. It has a deadly awesomeness about it that suits the team perfectly.

Messi's header was a thing of beauty. His body went past the ball, yet he still somehow adjusted to guide it past Edwin. I ripped him for his performances against Chelsea, but he really reedemed himself. Was nice to see him in a more central role.

Well done. Messi had a blinder, but you dominated us all over the park. I'm gutted obviously, but there is little shame in losing to such a good side.

As an aside, I thought the referee was excellent. There were a couple of decisions where I thought we were lucky to dodge yellows, but overall a calm sure performance and no major stuff-ups (which is you all can ask for from an official really).
