Feeney

After looking through the player market still off-contract next year from other clubs. I come across a player I believe is one of the best utilities running around. Jamie Feeney is still off contract after Folkes stating to him a couple of weeks ago that we do not have room for you at the club anymore and you wont get a first grade start.

Now I have asked some people at Parramatta who are pretty high up and I can assure you that Parramatta are still going to sign 3 reasonable players for next year according to the people up high at parramatta.

Now we all shall know how much Brian Smith loves Jamie Feeney. He has always rapped feeney and a couple of years back clearly stated he would love a player that plays like feeney at Parramatta. He has always rated the bloke and I think this could be a perfect chance to go after him.

What does everyone think?

I think another backrower who is inferior to Hindmarsh and Morrison etc is a waste! Just cause the guy is off contract doesnt mean we should buy him...

and by all reports he wants to stay at the dogs...even if it means having a premier league contract.

That's what he says but when it comes to the crunch he will join another football club. And I don't think it is a waste. He is a utility, He just doesnt play Second Row. He can play Lock, Front Row, Even slot into the centres or Five-Eighth.

I dont know about front row somehow...hes a bit small...

when i say he's a waste im not trying to be critical, because I agree hes a decent player, I just think he'd be wasted here because we have plenty of depth in his type of player.

Tell me who plays a game like feeney at our club. The closest i could think of is Widders and that's still a totally different game. And widder's ain't not scapegoat. I say bring him!

What can Feeney offer that Hindmarsh, Morrison, Widders, Afamasaga, Cayless, Wagon etc dont offer in the back row??

Nothing that I can think of...unless you want to sign a guy because he can pull off a charge down every now and then!

Was a good player a few years ago but is not really NRL standard at present, but then again most of our team isn't.

Cayless is back to Prop next season. Afamasaga will surely be relegated to reggies (sad). Hindmarsh and Morrison will be the second rowers. Wagon at lock. Leaving us with one decent back row on the bench. Widders. Add Feeney to it and we have another underrated Back Rower. What does he bring? He brings confidence... A player that has played with a winning pack. He brings experience. And always has pride in his jersey. That's what he bloody well brings.

Your trying to tell me he isn't an NRL standard player. I don't think he has lacked his game in anyway. I think Bulldogs are looking more to there future players such as Sonny Bill, Roy and Reni and that's why are freeing up there salary cap while losing Feeney. A top pick-up in my opinion. It'd be great if atleast one person could agree with me. He's a great runner of the ball.

I didnt know you were picking the teams!

I dont know what confidence he offers that we need...being unwanted by a club that i love wouldnt fill me with confidence!

The Dogs have alot of confidence if ask me. He would bring that confidence to the new club he chooses. And why be a smart arse. With 27 posts to your name I wouldn't go around acting too tough.

I think any more signings would have to be backs. We desperately need another centre and a five eight/halfback. No more forwards.

I believe that Feeney is a Utility. With the other 2 signings. Offcourse we should go for a Centre and a Five-Eighth. Then we have no problems.

see there you go. I knew it was between Souths and Parramatta. I hope this isn't true but and parra chuck him an offer.

We need backs ParraMatt, Feeney is a good player, but i'm willing to sacrifice him for a few backs & a half.

As I said Ron, We still are going to sign 3 players. Why not 2 Backs and 1 Utility. That Utility being Feeney. Don't ask me who is on the markets in terms of backs. Maybe Colin Best if he doesn't go to Dragons. George Carmont if he doesn't stay at Newcastle.
