and please explain the backup to Hayne thing....

when feleti came back from injury toward the end of last year he was told things had changed. Before the injury feleti was the 6 and primary playmaker, however ando advised feleti would now be a supplementary player to hayne from now on.

Since then he has been used out of position and has not been the same. he has been contained and limited. He has all the same ability of his peak in 2008 but he is told to play like he is in a straightjacket. play like a frontrower-hit the ball up and then take a rest.

warriors are going to use him exactly as parra used him in 2008. a free-ranging 5/8/lock with permission to lead the team. they see him as a leader thats why he will be their highest paid marquee player.

its a great shame that others see more in him than parra.

Good on them. The Warriors have to pay overs to attract players and these two boys obviously have great offers. Helps to cross the ditch when you have plenty of cousins there too.

Cant blame Mateo for taking the money, and yeah, with Hayne's form last year things clearly had changed when Feleti came back.

Have we even made Inu an offer? Very disappointing if we haven't.

It will be a massive shame to lose both these boys, oh well not everyone
can do a Melbourne. Shocked we haven't offered INU anything.

Do you bother making an offer if you're told by the manager that it'll need to be, say, upwards of $250k but you were only thinking $150k ? Sometimes you just can't compete (unless your Brain Waldron of course).

Inu was not offered anything by the club because he was not part of DA's plans. It had nothing to do with $$'s

inu was due to be made an offer pending the decisions of kris keating and feleti mateo made first.

whatever was left over was what inu and guru were going to be offered. i'd say someone's told mateo and inu that kk is stitched up and there was x amount left.

guess this means guru will stay and horo will get an upgrade....and who knows....some left over too? mateo 270+ inu 270 = 540k (-110 for minimum salary = 430k) to spend.

you can't seriously tell me with the way our form has been in the last few weeks and the way we made the gf last year (with Feleti coming off the bench) that he wasn't allowed to play his own natural game??

I think Inu hasnt been made an offer because Anderson doesnt rate him.

He( Inu) has said several times in the media he'd take a cut to stay.

Test his word and make an offer......that's if you want him.

I think he'll be one loss we'll regret.

Whatever DA's plans are let's hope he has one because we are potentially losing Mateo, Inu, Grothe and definetly Cayless.... our 4 best offloaders!!! The ad lib second phase game plan is shot to bits without those guys. Interesting times!

blame ando, when he told feleti he was merely a backup player to hayne last year. and ... when they placed priority on resigning everyone else first they lost feleti.
For $400K a year, I won't be blaming anyone for not re-signing Feleti.

He's been playing 40-50mins a game and hardly setting the game on fire, for that money we could get two decent enough blokes, or an acknowledged rep star in another more important position. For example, Horo will gladly play Feleti's position next year, be as effective and even have more game time but cost us half as much (with money left over).

It's a no brainer really. Good luck to Mateo, but if guys want to chase the coin then that's their choice and I won't shed any tears.
