I would have made an offer to Inu, unless he went to the club and said he's received an offer we couldn't possibly match, or in excess of his value to the side.

I'm leaning toward preferring Inu to Grothe in the side, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Ando is the coach and he has every right not to want to keep players, we may not like it but there is obviously something he doesn't see in Mateo and Inu. He spends all week with them and sees them train etc.

He may not like their attitudes? I will be disappointed if we lose these 2 for sure but i was also disappointed when we lost Hodgson, Tonga, Hindmarsh, Cayless, Ryan etc but it happens, can't keep them all and to be fair, the form of Mateo and Inu has been patchy at best over the last few years.

Can't blame Inu he has done everything right late last season and so far this season and deserves a regular first grade spot but there are too many good backs at the club at present. Shame as he is a local junior, NRL really needs to look at discounts for local juniors.

It's sad too see us potentially lose two junioirs, it's times like this when you hate the salary cap system.

But, Inu won't be that big of a loss IMO. Mateo will be, but we can't keep them all and I believe DA likes hard working forwards that's probably why he'll cut Mateo. Don't get me wrong, Mateo of the bench is a weapon, but with the salary cap ATM I think he'll have to sacrifice that X factor of Mateo.

Also Mateo looks very unfit ATM, I don't think he's a good trainer. Inu & Mateo on their day are very dynamic and can turn a game around, but IMO DA would rather have consistent players like Reddy & Smith over Inu & Mateo.

Strange thing, all the Moanly points were scored by players who came through our system. Appears we need to do a better job of identifying the talent and then making sure the right ones are targeeted.

To make sure no one misses the point, Trex, Hodko and Farrer all left because supercoach didn't get involved or didn't sell opportunity.

We don't have a lot coming throguh in NYC at this stage, think we need to reinvent ourselves a bit with talent from outside, which may be behind the reason in letting a few players leave.

That was my thinking too, i think we will have a bit of extra cash if both Inu and Mateo go and with caylo retiring. Cronk, Inglis who else do we want?

Sure there are upgrades but Cayless, Inu and Mateo equates to at least $1 million to me.

if i were ando and we were losing mateo and inu and with cayless retiring 1 melbourne player id definately look at is Aiden Tolman i cant imagine he would be expensive and he is a good player plus if we were to go after a back of theirs id go for neilsen lots of potential and wouldnt be expensive either.
