Oh man this is classic. I can see us possibly losing Maloney just because he wants to go back to Aus but Johnson isn't going anywhere. Don't you worry about our roster.

Watch Johnson get an extension soon, we got rid of Seymour so he's going to get a new contract soon. But I'm sure a 20 year old NZ born and raised kid with a lock on the halfback spot for many years to come with a good side round him, with players he also came up with through under 20's would want to move to an aussie club for an extra little bit of cash at best. And thats all Mateo's fault as well of course.

Yeah cant for the life of me work out why he would want to leave New Zealand to live in Australia.

A lot more sheep for him over in New Zealand.

I get a bit sick and tired of all the sheep innuendo about New Zealanders.

If the truth be known, I'm guessing less than 50% of the New Zealand population f**k sheep. It's a bit unfair to tar them all with generalisations.

You have to compare it to how much all the other clubs have available.

I think there's plenty of clubs that can offer him "a halfback spot for years to come".

Be wary of the Broncos bro, or even the Brisbane expansion team. Every Kiwi kid wants to live in SE QLD at least once in their lives.

I notice he only re-signed for an extra year.

Gould (and I don't know this muppet seems to know all on every club so I take it with a grain of salt) said in the call a couple of weeks ago that the Warriors are operating well and truly under the cap. There should be a good deal of cash to resecure most of the juniors coming through. Maloney however won't be retained beyond next year I'm tipping.

If i were a Warriors fan id be happy with the service mateo and inu are providing. Mateo will always have room for improvement, but he's doing what the Warriors bought him for. Good for him and them. We just didn't have a place for him at $400k.

Maybe the Eels will chase him for 400 grand when they realise that both the other halfbacks they're paying 400 grand are duds.

Not sure who the 2nd halfback is that you're talking about. We did sign a Dogs reserve grader, but he would be on average wage.

Will Sandow cause a positive result in an NRL match more often than Mateo ? Oh yes.
