If Smith refuses to give any youngsters with talent a chance then how the heel did Hindmarsh, Lyon, Vaealiki and Cayless just to name 4 of the top of my head ever play 1st grade

damn some of you people can bitch with the best of them

Yes some very talented people have left the club I'm not denying that and sure some of them may have been cause by Smith again I've never denied that.

However not every single bad thing (or at least bad in your eyes) have been because of Smith.

Hodgson's mother died which effected Brett's performance for a couple of weeks
Hodgson got kicked in the ribs by Langer in the 2nd Origin
Hindmarsh fell off a quad and needed surgury on his wrist
Vella lost his hair
Stu Galbraith retired
Peter Sterling's shoulder was stuffed
Parramatta lost the 1977 Grand Final Replay

Are we going to find ways to blame this on Smith aswell?

Damn Straight, This guy knows what he is talking about. Let's give Smith a break and see how we go this week before we start blaming Smithy again, The players are also the ones to blame, Smithy can only do so much!

I think that we have a great group of juniuors in Armit, Tsoulos, Graham, Witt, Thorman and O'Dwyer that i have no doubt that will be in the strongest 17 Parra have by the end of the season.

I think that there is alot of improvement in this Parramatta side from the one we saw in round one. First off they where playing a very pissed off and hyped up Bulldogs unit who are with Penrith, Sydney city and NZ as the best teams in the comp. Parra did win all there pre season games and came second in world 7's while winning most games during the second half of last season. When Smith decideds to make some better team selections then Parra will start winning matches.

Look Parra will not blood these young players this year or next year. BS relies on old players - Look at other teams .. The broncos this weekend have about 5 players under 21 in their team. We are old and slow. We have to realise that its a young mans game. Imagine how the Parra young guns feel when they see their ex team mates from Aust under 19s playing first grade at other clubs and then told by BS that they will not be playing first grade for 2 years ???? no wonder they move on! get rid of the dead wood ! we have such great YOUNG players ready to go NOW

I see that Kane CLEAL is about to get a run in first grade at the Eagles (my point exactly!)

just because they are young doesn't mean they are any good.

Cleal is at least 2 years away from 1st grade Manly just need to blood him early.

No one has better Juniors then us and we have won the Club Championship for how many years in a row, 7 or 8 ?? Yet we have been in the grand final only once since 86. Come on people something is wrong.

And if Kane is good enough he will stay in the top grade at Manly ... but at least he was given a go.. the coaching staff will find out whether he is good enough or not.
